i, Robot by Isaac Asimov
Its a collection of short, "sci fi" stories by Asimov and is told from the character,"Susan Calvin" (she is being interviewed)
The book is not very long and is really interesting and its not too difficult to follow. I think some may think the book may be of a technical nature because its about robots, but it isnt really. Its about the use of robots for different duties and how they interact around humans and their settings in general.
The story called, Robbie" is quite sad.
The movie," i ROBOT" in cinemas now staring Will Smith is really nothing like the book and his character as far as i am aware isnt in this book,i am still half way through it and havent noticed this character.
Issac Asimov was born in Russia in 1920 and he died in 1992 aged 72.
The three laws of Robotics:
1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm
2) A robot must obey orders givein to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
( i get confused with the laws!)
i would give this book 7 from 10
