good question hun.... like this one....
for the fist 4 weeks out on the scene, no one approached me at all, and believe me, it didn't do alot for my self confidence....
to be truthful (not big headed) 'men' always came on to me, still bloody do 
so in the end, i decided it was time to grow a backbone, and start chatting women up..... and to my delight, i learned that they had not approached me for two reasons...
firstly.... i was nervous as hell my first weekends out, and didn't make eye contact with anyone...
and secondly, they all just presumed i was straight.... lol....
my theory now, is, talk to everyone! if a new face enters the bar, go over and say hi.....
and not just looking for single ladies (honest 
) just so i can have a good night out, with lots of friendly faces....

on whether you prefer to be" pulled" or be the one that does the "pulling". I and some friends had this debate recently over dinner which gave some interesting results. I have to admit that I have always been pulled, but at the tender age of 60+ could do with some "pulling" tips. or perhaps re-invent myself. cheers and love Tuilass
