Watched Hannibal on DVD tonight, and I'd reccomend it to anyone! Just the right amount of tense moments, guts and gore, lol... It's a new clarise, (jullianna moore) and anthony hopkins as hannibal. at the end of the film, you get to see a guy being fed his own brains...... you gotta watch, just for this scene, lol.... a 10/10.... luv janx |

Hi Jan, Baby says you need to rent "Red Dragon". We don't know if it's out yet on DVD but its a prequel to Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. That scene at the end of Hannibal still makes my skin crawl lol Hugs, Cham |

Just wondered if ever a post was made about Hannibal and there was.. I went to see this at the cinema when it was released but watched it the orther night when it was on was it ITV 2 or 3?? in the UK. I love the build up to the gore ,it really pull's you in. I've read Silence of the lambs and Hannibal and red dragon and they are all great. Thomas Harris is such a good writer ,has anyone read his book "black sunday"? I've got it but not read it yet. I think the Hannibal book was the best. Really unsettling. It's interesting isn't it how bits of books get missed out when made into a movie. back to the Hannibal movie, I think Julianne Moore was a good Clarice Starling. and I was thinking though how innocent the Silence movie now looks to the Hannibal movie.. I love the setting in Hannibal. I assume it was on location in Italy ..Florance?? lovely scenery and brilliant architecture that looked so suited yet at the same time so wrong with what was going on there with regards to Hannibal.. thanks |

Do you know what CherryWillow?? the bit that really made me feel so unsettled and unsafe was the last scene on the plane.. When Hannibal has his own food on the plane and talks to the young boy about his food.. We all know what one of the food items are....and the boy likes the look of it and....eats some of it! It's the normal conversation between the two characters and how something so sickly can be presented in such a normal way. that's what get's to me and unsettles me. the pig scene was great , love it! Gary Oldman played Mason Verger you know?? I can understand people not liking the cooked brain bit though... thanks CherryWillow. |

Yeah, it's good to try something new... fried human brain, lol. All three movies were just on tv but I didn't watch Hannibal again. Did anyone see the recent 'Messiah IV - the Harrowing' on BBC1? That was pretty gory, lol. It had a lesbian theme though the issues were hardly talked about. Everyone was on the 'outside'. Chief Pathologist Rachel Price's daughter Isabel committed suicide because her heart was broken over being jilted by her girlfriend. This triggered Rachel to set off on a gruesome killing spree... But I have to say it was hard to see how someone like Rachel could have physically been able to commit all the killings single-handed. Still, that's what happened in the plot. If only the parents had been able to talk with their daughter about her sexuality and her distress.... |
