ALEXANDER
Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins, Directed by Oliver Stone
another great epic 10/10
Plot Summary Conquering 90% of the known world by the age of 25, Alexander the Great (Farrell) led his armies through 22,000 miles of sieges and conquests in just eight years. Coming out of tiny Macedonia, Alexander led his armies against the mighty Persian Empire, drove west to Egypt, and finally made his way east to India. This film will concentrate on those eight years of battles, as well as his relationship with his boyhood friend and battle mate, Hephaestion.

Sounds great....I don't have a DVD player, but can play them on my PC and have just bought my first DVD, although have viewed one lent to me a while ago (If These Walls Could Talk) ... the one I bought is rather different, 'Finding Nemo' !! |

Well haven't had time yet - only bought it yesterday afternoon, totally unplanned, during my trip to local shopping area - using free travel pass for the first time. Really weird, having no ticket on the train .. and I haven't been on a bus for years. Will have to do that again. What's all this got to do with Alexander? |

i watched it the other week, but i didn't think it was all that i thought it was over-rated, over 3 hrs i sat there an din move i had to run to the bathroom at the end of the movie cos i thought i might miss something important. I just think it went to far in one direction without covering all angles, but it was a good movie.
