just to add
people hide thier feelings, when they are down, depressed, so that thier 'upset' doesn't effect thier friends lives aswell as thier own.
and i know, 'thats what friends are about' and it doesn't matter if your quite happy to listen to others when they feel bad, or are happy to lend a shoulder to cry on, a friendly ear, it doesn't mean you can turn to others when the need arises.
sometimes, your own shite just seems to fill too much of your life, your time, and hiding it, gives you a very brief respite, and once its out in the open, 'accepted' as 'real' because you've spilled it all out to someone, then it's allowed to become part of your time with them.
people don't always hide stuff because they want to keep secrets, or dont trust, or even fear a reaction, they hide it to spare others from having to deal with it, share it, or even just 'see' it.
