For the last couple of weeks my boy has had us all really worried. He hasn't been himself at all, he seems down? He usually doesn't stop eating and drinking the whole time he's awake, but this last couple of weeks his apetite has gone. He is usually really loud, when he says hi which is every few minutes, it is a loud hi, but this couple of weeks it is very quiet and slow. He usually shuffles around on his bottom quite quickly  but this couple of weeks has been like slow motion. ETC ETC ETC..... So we have been trying to get to the bottom of why he's changed. Nothing we have tried has made any difference at all.

 Then Friday evening he handed me my mobile and signed please. So I went through all the names i could think of that he might be asking to call. When i got to his mum and dad he signed please  half a dozen times. So I called his mum and held the phone to his ear. He sat there for a good ten minutes groaning down the phone to her. That is his version of having a good old moan about things. After he got off the phone he started to pick up a bit. He ate quite well, was moving around normally playing and so on. So I spoke to his mum on the phone and told her what he had been like and how he had improved when he heard her voice on the phone. Fair play to them, both his parents were at my house within half an hour, and they brought aaron's older brother and nephew with them. They spent an hour with him here, and i have to admit he was almost back to normal. So we had been trying all sorts of things to get the old aaron back, the one thing i didn't think of was that he was missing his parents. But that seems to be what it was.  So i asked them if they could spend a bit of time with him on a regular basis as that might lift him a bit. They agreed, and came and picked him up yesterday for the day. So all seemed well. BUT....... Ever since his dad brought him back at 6pm yesterday, he has blanked me completely! He wont let me near him unless it's to change his nappy, or dress him. He wouldn't even let me give him his medication lastnight, neil had to do it for me. He walked past me with his empty cup and gave it to neil to refill. He won't look at me, wont communicate with me in any way, infact he just wont acknowledge that i am here.  Everytime i talk to him, instead of bowing his head for me to rub his neck, he turns away and goes off to the other side of the room.I tried to hug him earlier and he nearly knocked me over trying to get away.

So his blue mood seems to have lifted, he is quite happy in himself, more content than he has been in ages, and he is his usual self with my mum and shona and neil, so i am really pleased about that. But i can't stand the fact that he doesn't want to know me at all. I hope this is a tempory thing and we get back to normal very soon.

Sorry ladies....... just needed to air that... at home i am being all jolly and normal  and not ltting on it's getting to me, so had to let it out!
