Has anyone heard of him??

I was listening to the music channels before and he has a song called "the blowers daughter" ,its a song from the movie called Alfie ( a remake),starring Jude Law.

its a lovely song, its a ballad and Im suprised at me liking it as Im not one for getting all emotional at songs but I did at this one...lovely line in this song..he sings...." I can't take my mind off you"...anyway I know he is Irish ?? , thats all I know at present.

I dont know much about him to be honest, but I would be interested in buying his cd album if he has one.

does anyone here think he is any good??

.....its a lovely song,i could almost feel my heart softening listening to this..and my heart feeling that way seldom happens.

correction ,the song "the blowers daughter" is from the new movie called "closer" starring Jude Law !

I received his CD album by Damion Rice called "0" the orther week,which I ordered.

Its great, not the kind of music I generally listen to ,but I give everything a chance.

"the blowers daughter" through headphones is wonderful, you can hear every little sound,the guiter is really "real" in this, I think they record alot in surround sound now.

Worth a listen....

I forgot I'd made a thread about Damien Rice. This is another of Damien Rice's songs...it's a really lovely song and the lyrics are too and I think it was played at the end of an episode of the L word, I remember the music and words and the feel of this really suited what had happened in the episode..Just came across it now on Mp3....it's worth a listen..

I had never heard of him till I read your posting but the Blowers daughter speaks to me at mo, have just downloaded 7 of his tracks but think this song is going to be played a lot at mo, music for therapy eh!
