Well, I could go on about survival horror games all day. I'm a BIG Resident Evil fan, to the point that I have the replica Samurai Edge gun that Jill had made for her in the 3rd game. (Remember that fax you got in the S.T.A.R.S. office in the 2nd game about Kendo gun store making a new gun for S.T.A.R.S.)?
And the toys from Hong Kong (and Japan to a lesser extent)... the official Jill Valentine watch they did in Japan for the remake game... mini herb toys (yes, herb toys!)... metal Umbrella/S.T.A.R.S. keycards...
I could go on forever. The storyline is just so good. The characters are so memorable. The orchestration is amazing. The story books are pretty good too.
But the reason I like these games so much is the fact that horror movies kind of have me desensitized. In survival horror video games, it's YOU living inside the horror... and the amount of times I've had to pause the game because there is something I do_not_want_to_encounter_in_the_next_room! I've had to pause it to let my breath and heart rate settle down too.
Survival horror games are so great!!!
