I miss the Soul Calibur game on that old console long since forgotten, the Sega Dreamcast. But now I see Soul Calibur 2 has been released on all three popular consoles -- X Box, Gamecube, and PS2.
I own the latter two, but have only one controller for the Gamecube.
The greatness of the graphics are supposedly best seen on the X Box, followed by the Gamecube and then PS2, respectively. The makers also put an extra character in each console version... Spawn for the X Box, Link (from Zelda games) on the Gamecube, and some guy from Tekken on the PS2 version. The PS2 characer is the lamest supposedly, as Soul Calibur is a fighting game that's all about weapons, swords, bo-staff, etc... and this guy fights with his hands!?! Lame, lame, lame...
I'd like to get this game on the Gamecube, since this has the middle best graphics... but the controller isn't as comfortable and familiar as the PS2 controllers. Oh well.
I'll keep you all posted on how this game handles. It's got rave reviews, and the Dreamcast prequel was so very addictive!!! (Peeps said I look like Ivy -- the bleach-head vamp vixen). Woo! Love that metal 'creeping ivy' style whip! Perhaps that's where her name came from. (And that head squeezing thigh move of hers is very... *ahem*... watchable).
