i now have an original nintendo gameboy ,that i have had for only a few weeks,i have tetris and recently borrowed superbreakout/battlezone for it.

it was in such clean condition when i aquired it,and the screen is virtually scratch free. i remember years ago when they were first introduced and remember thinking how good they looked! kylie was a big fan i think too!

cant say i was a nintendo person really but i just wanted this,its dot matrix but i wonder if it was always this colour the contrast?? as i know you can adjust it..perhaps its age?? it just appears abit tired.

fun playing tetris, was playing it before..its that music! just a nostalgia thing really.

I used to enjoy playing the super mario on a gameboy, the egyption music and the little indian dance music that came with each level was really good..... i can still hear it now and yes the screen took some getting used for me.

I like the old games, I downloaded some freebies for the pc....was playing the old Dizzy games the other week....just wish I had more time to play em.

I used to have a sega system and sonic is the only game I have ever completed. Took me hours.. oh and alex kid of course... I always seem to get stuck... wouldn't mind playing the newer games but they're a bit pricey. I could always get second hand though... might consider this.

I never actually owned a Gameboy, but when I played on my friends, I think it was Music option C on Tetris that I loved! The one that sounds really, really Russian. Try that one, Ms. Kelly. I think it was Music C.

the gameboy screen was i think proberly fantastic when it was first launched but now must sadly appear dated, it depends i think on what game you play and in a paticular light too, so i wasnt alone in thinking the contrast was a little tired! i loved sonic and was lucky enough to complete it but not 100% (if you, or anyone knows what i mean)

i found alex kidd cute but sometimes quite difficult, i have some sega consoles, at the moment i have tetris and i borrowed battlezone/breakout for my gameboy, may get a golf one at the end of the week...breakout is a simple wall buster type thing. but not that easy to play.i have this im shaw on the atari 2600,

to be honest the music C reminds me of that music in silence of the lambs that is playing on the mini tape recorder in his cell, just after anthony hopkins has beaten one of the policemen to near death. (its like chamber music) but i think its also abit like music from the game "lemmings" too. but i can understand the russian reason...

i have borrowed the golf game now but havent tried it yet,i was reading online about gameboy the orther,they were sooo popular when they were launched all those years ago but were not as advanced as the sega game gear or atari lynx as for as the screen looked(those 2 were colour) but the gameboy shape made it a winner,(this one review i read) alot of the games were not good but it remained popular,i think its really cute looking and i bought an adaptor for the gameboy(made for it) from the 99p shop! the orther day, so i dont have to buy the batteries now.
