Here's how you can play this game on the PC, and with handy save points too!!!

 

Go here, http://www.geocities.com/adrexius/alex_the_kidd_games_and_emulaters.html and download and unzip the emulator. Then download and unzip whatever games you want to play. The first Alex Kidd game you see is the MiracleWorld one that came inbuilt into the Master System.

 I had trouble with this emulator at first, but this is what I did:

 

1) After you unzip the emulator, click and drag the SMS icon to the descktop to copy it there. Then click on it to open the Emulator.

 

2) Unzip an Alex Kidd game and copy the file to C:

 

3) In the Emulator, go to FILE, then choose OPEN ROM, and then click on C:\

You should see the Alex Kidd file. Click on it to open it and play!!!

 

To start it, press Z (the jump button)

X is punch

UP cursor is up

DOWN cursor is down

LEFT cursor is left

RIGHT cursor is right

 

You can even change the buttons if you want. just go to SETTINGS and choose CONFIG KEYBOARD.

 

Wow. I even remember all the music to this game. And to make it even easier, you can save the game anywhere as you play. (FILE then SAVE STATE).

 

I'm on the last castle in a really difficult part where I have to swin between spikes that look impossible to swim between!! And I accidentally saved me dying instead of loading my last save!! Doh!!
