I don't know if I must be the last person ever to think of this or even do this,but anyway..

Wanted to share it here.

nearly everyday I play my latest favourites cds ,the way you do and at the moment,

it's Kylie and been destinys child and gwen stefani ,

recently I thought of playing my own music through my headphones while playing a game. I thought of the best one would be that old ps1 game called "wipeout". The pod racing game..

I had a go at doing this on my ps1and it was brilliant.

I started off with chemical brothers "boys and girls" ( and they have a track or some tracks on the "wipeout" game anyway..

and then i played Kylies "butterfly" after that track there is a happy little track by her called "under the influence of love" (( crashing into barriers while she sings " i'm under the influence of love!" was quite good fun actually! lol and then I switched to "lightyears".. that song is just brilliant while racing..

I did really well in the game too, i was made up, sometimes you start rocking abit and moving your legs to the beat while playing lol

I suppose research has been carried out on this type of thing ( listening to music while playing console games)) I think I have read about it somewhere..

I just thought , have any of you fellow members ever tried this?? and listened to your favourite music while playing a console game??

the music and game genre is endless in this!

I do it ALL THE TIME while playing FPS games on the PC. My favourite is Marilyn Manson for blasting things. As for playing Wipeout... you can't beat Wipeout 3 for the tracklisting, so you don't need headphones for that game. My fave track on Wipeout 3 is "kittens" by Underworld. The full album version is obscenely long, but the version on the game is nicely shortened and nicer to listen to, in my opinion. I bought the PS2 Wipeout game, but I don't think it's half as great as Wipeout 3. The music is boring, the tracks are boring, the crafts are boring.

When I played Tomb Raider 4: The Last Revelation on my PS2, I always put on Destiny's Child's "The Writing's On The Wall" album. I loved racing Lara through the tombs and jumping her around to the "Jumpin' Jumpin'" track! (I'm one of those gamers where, if the character has a 'jump' action, I bloody use it constantly! I love jumping around games!)
