Hey there.
Wow, some wild things have been going on lately. We moved into our new house about 2 months ago. One of the first things i said to my husband when i saw it was "it looks like a place that faeries would like." If i had only known...lol.
Around the same time we moved in, i was also growing alot spiritually; maybe being out on our own, and feeling like a "real" grown-up helped with that. Things happened slowly at first, like they always do. Small things like increased synchronicity, more insightful dreams, better intuition, etc. Then one night, as i was dozing off to sleep, i heard a man's voice speak a couple of goddess names (Morrigan and Cerridwen). The voice wasn't loud, but it was clear, and assertive. My husband was awake, next to me, and he didn't hear a thing. The next day, i had a spiritual epiphany, involving the goddess.
After that, things REALLY got interesting. i started seeing faerie lights (that's what i call them at least)--small, bright (the color is bright, but not the light, if that makes sense) lights on the wall, for about 1/4 of a second, out of the corner of my eye. i told my husband about it, and he believed me, but he wasn't excited over it.
For about a week after that, things quieted down, until one day while i was driving home, i started to see "little furries" (another term i made up). They are about the size of a small dog, dark brown or black in color, and they appear to be balls of fuzz. They blink in and out of sight, just long enough to make my heart jump, in fear of running over someone's pet, until i realize it wasn't an animal. I've seen these outside of my house, "peeking" from behind a tree, or outside the window, but never in the house. They don't seem malevolent, but they also don't seem friendly, so they can stay outside for all i care, lol.
Up to this point, my husband was very supportive of me and my "little friends;" he asked me about them, and even bought be a book about faeries (none of them sounded like the ones around here, by the way). Then one day, he was getting ready for work, and he said "i just saw something run across Ryvre's room." By the humored look on his face, i thought he meant that he saw a mouse. i started to freak (that was, by the way, why we moved out of the old house super-fast), and he said "Michelle, calm down, i mean i saw a little person!" Oh good! (i calmed down then.) That's all it was, a little person! Thank heavens it wasn't something unusual like a mouse!
The faerie my husband saw (well, not really "saw;" he says it disappeared too fast to really see, but he got the impression that it was a little person) left by means of, what it sounded to me like, a shimmering doorway. The light he saw sounded similar to what i saw: brightly colored, iridecent, but the light itself was so dim it would be easy to miss. He said it kind of looked like fireworks, the way it burst out and disappeared, but it happened very fast. He also said he saw something similar at my parents' new house (we didn't say anything to them though, because they already think we're nuts), but he just caught the end of it.
In the days around Midsummer, things started to feel a little creepy. Interesting things happened For example, four bottles of essential oil, that i thought about buying, but didn't, seem to have materialized in my cabinet. i have no explanation for how that happened--i was the only one that looked at them in the store, and they weren't on the receipt, which i couldn't even find until my 11-month-old daughter brought it to me this morning...). One night i saw the lid of the kitchen trash can start to swing wildly. Woodland animals have been acting strange. That sort of thing.
So, getting tired of this negative aura our house seemed to take on (and sleepless nights up with the kids), my husband and i did some magick to protect our home and family. We felt better immediately, and have had two restful nights and uneventful days since. However, i am hoping that our good faeries (whichever ones they are, or aren't) don't think our actions (some protective herb magick) were directed toward them. i don't want them angry!
Does anyone have some advice, info about out little friends, or personal experience to share? Thanks for reading my long post, hehe.

Hi Hippie Mama! My name is Melyssia... Very interesting! I've been seeing some things... not "fairy lights", they are fuzzy/blurry black and sometimes grey images out of the corner of my eye... and when I turn to look they are gone. It's been happening more and more lately though. I never knew what it was.... sometimes they are small but most of the time they are big- about the size of a person. At first it creept me out, but now it doesn't bother me...guess I'm use to it now. LOL |

Hey Hip, I had the same thing happen afew weeks ago it rained really hard and I told my husband that by the woodpile in the den were Fey Folk, the cat was taking care of them. He laughed and said he knew I was seriously waiting for him to take me to the mental institution but he is open minded and a Scot at that. LOL. Glad to seeothers see them too. Normally they hang out in the Garden but that was a bad storm. BB, VioletLadyStardust |
