Ok...so what good movies have you seen lately?  I saw Elizabethtown and I liked it.  It has Orlando Bloom in it and Kirstin Dunst.  They meshed well together.

I also saw Sky High...it's a good family film for those of you that take kids to movies.  Although it should be out on video pretty soon.

Beauty Shop 2 was funny but then again I always enjoy Queen Latifah.  Bringing Down The House had her in it and that movie is a riot!

I wasn't too crazy about War of The Worlds...this may have something to do with my current dislike of Tom Cruise, although in all fairness, he did a great job acting in that move.  I was just ready for it to be over with.

My husband and I went to the movies this past weekend...we don't get to go too often without the kids....I must say I just love movie popcorn!  I don't care for Microwave Popcorn, but the movie theatre just has it done perfecto!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this one already, but that movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" comes out next month (December 9th). Our book club read the book, and the movie looks quite good as well (judging by the previews). My fellow Book Club members and I are going to see it opening weekend!

Saw Walk The Line - an EXCELLENT movie -   even if you're not a Johnny Cash fan - it's still an excellent movie - Joaquin & Reese were fabulous - gave Oscar worthy performances.  And it was just amazing to hear them both sing & doing a great job with it.

Pride and Prejudice was awesome.  It is my favorite book so I was worried at how they would do w/it but it was suprisingly good.  I highly recommend this movie.

Saw Flight Plan a few weeks back, was not too impressed, Jodie Foster did good, but the movie was just too hum drum to me.

Saw Chronicles of Narnia and it was magnificient, a must see.

Well, Jodie Foster acted her tail off and she was extraordinary, but......the movie itself was just not good to me.  (flight plan)
Gonna See King Kong soon, can't wait for that.  In feburary a movie is coming out called

8 Below

and its going to be a great movie about 8 sled dogs that get left in the artic.  gonna be a 'must see' for sure. I will need to take the puffs with me for this one.

The animation and script in Narnia was just wonderful, you feel like the animals were actually talking.  It was just, to me, a great job.  I never read the books, but Sarah, my daughter did and she and another girl I saw said the books didn't even come close to the cinema version.

Also, guess who is back, Mr. Jack Sparrow, yep, Pirates of the Carribean is coming out (part 2) and I must go see Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.  I guess you all can tell I am excited about movie. ha.

So far this summer I've seen Cars, SuperMan 3D and Pirates of The Caribbean II.

Cars was a really cute show.  Kids will love it and there's a lot of adult humor to keep us interested, too.  I actually saw it twice.  I took the kids once when my husband didn't get to go and then believe it or not, we went the second time b/c my husband wanted to see it. I'd highly recommend it.

SuperMan 3D.  It was a great movie, but if I were you, I wouldn't bother spending the extra money to see it 3D.  The movie is 2 1/2 hours long and only 22 minutes are actually in 3D.  I still recommend the movie to anyone, just not in 3D.

Pirates of the Caribbean was good but I didn't personally think it was as good as the first one.  However, I think the actors/actress were more comfortable in their roles this time.  Nobody can play that part like Johnny Depp can...the facial expressions he makes and his voice just cracks me up.  He was excellent and I hope he wins some awards for his performance.  It was a great movie, just not as good as the first.  And the ending is a big cliffhanger to keep us interested until the next one comes out...

Anyone else see any good movies lately?

I also saw Pirates and thought the same thing!! Even my husband! We did
see MI-3, against my better judgment because I don't like what he did to
Nicole Kidman. I don't like him as a person but as an actor he is quite
good.
Since I will be on vacation starting July 28th, maybe I'll get to see a few
more movies.

The last two I saw were "The Breakup"..which was good, but I was surprised at the ending..and, "The Lake House" which was a really good romance movie..and I usually stay away from "romance", but I enjoyed both.

My daughter and I went to see Lady in the Water and it was a fun young teenish movie.  Every once in a while I like to see a movie thats just 'fun'.  My daughter is 16 so she really like M. Night Shyamalan.......lol......He is not bad looking at all.

Am I the only one who goes to the movie???  I posted the last time too.  I saw The Guardian about 3 weeks ago.  I didn't think I would like it, but it turned out to be a really good movie.

Well, Ladonna, I watched the Lake House the other night.  With Keanu Reaves and Sandra Bullock....I thought that was a good movie.

Took awhile to understand it, but good.

I also heard the Guardian was good.  I want to take my daughter to see Flicka...we both love Tim McGraw!!
