I have a Congo, Kendi, and he is the life of the house! You can't walk in the door without hearing something quirky, either "HELLOOOO" the microwave, finches from outside, or the wolf whistle (ironic...he JUST did it, lol).
I don't know what I would do without him in my life, he is just amazing. SO different than my 'too that's for sure. Funny that when I wanted to get my first big bird I was deciding between a CAG and a U2....now I wonder what it would have been like if I got a CAG first, lol.
I can't say I wouldn't get another CAG. My fiance to be wants to have one someday, he loves Kendi! :D
Here's a tidbit too, he'll go to almost ANYONE! Even strangers. He just meets the odd person he'll bite before thinking about touching! :S |

I have an almost 4 year old CAG, Alex Marie...and she will tell you, just ask her name and she will say it like you are stupid for not knowing it. Although sometimes she thinks she is funny and says "Pookie" (my cockatiel) and then laugh. She is the joy of my life and I can't imagine life without her....best present I ever bought myself! |

I have a 3 1/2 month old cag named Vinnie. One of these years she will stop being hand fed and I will be able to bring her home. I just hope its before senility creeps in and I remember her. Kathy |

I guess I need to sign in here, hello, my name is Rachel and I have a Timneh African Grey. Her name is Judy she has been DNA sexed and she is about 12 years old now. She had been bumped from home to home due to her attitude and feather plucking, when she arrived here she had no feathers on her chest only a few downies. She has a nice looking feathered chest now, and she will stay with me, I will not adopt her out. This is a picture of her chest now, so beautiful. |

Rach, I didn't know you had a TAG, or if you told me I forgot. Her feathering is luscious looking! It's amazing that she went from almost bald to that. How long has Judy been with you? Abby |

Thank you Kathy , she knows she is gorgeous :) Abby, I got her about two years ago. A co worker pleaded with me to take her in, she knew I had birds and a room dedicated to the birds. I think the main problem was that her last home had a dog that pestered her and there was a lot of late night partying going on with lots of people. Well, it isn't like that here at all , Ray and I aren't the partiers, LOL. And no dogs! From what I know about her history, she started plucking when a family brought home a puppy. We don't even let the cats into the bird room, birds and people only! plus this is the first time she has been in the same home for more than year and a half...... that is awful for a 12 year old bird! As you se she has settled and kicked the bad habit. Now if she'll just trust me enought not to bite |
