I just thought that I would post this, just in case Mr. Hell-Bound came back and looked. Bet you if he studied these out-he would get the truth. Tweety

The Ten Commandments in the Old and New Covenants

1. Compare Ex. 20:3 with Mt. 22:37; Mk. 12:30; Lk. 10:27

2. Compare Ex. 20:4-6 with Acts 15:20,29; 21:25; Rom. 1:18-32; 2:22; 2Cor. 10:7,14; Gal. 5:20; Col. 3:5; 1Jn. 5:20

3. Compare Ex. 20:7 with Mt. 12:31-32; Mk. 3:28-29; 7:22; Lk. 12:10; Col. 3:8

4. Compare Ex. 20:8-11. Not commanded in the new covenant for many reasons. Scriptures in the New Testament command absolute freedom from any obligation to the old Jewish sabbath (Rom. 14:5-6; Gal. 4:9-10; Col. 2:14-17)

5. Compare Ex. 20:12 with Mt. 15:4; 19:19; Mk. 7:10; 10:19; Lk. 18:20; Eph. 6:2; Col. 3:20; 2Tim. 3:2

6. Compare Ex. 20:13 with Mt. 5:21; Mk. 10:19; Lk. 18:20; Rom. 13:9; Jas. 2:11; 1Pet. 4:15; 1Jn. 3:15

7. Compare Ex. 20:14 with Mt. 5:27-32; 19:9,18; Mk. 10:11-12,19; Lk. 16:18; 18:20; Rom. 2:22; 13:9; Gal. 5:19; Jas. 2:11

8. Compare Ex. 20:15 with Mt. 19:18; Mk. 10:19; Lk. 18:20; Rom. 2:21; 13:9; Eph. 4:28

9. Compare Ex. 20:16 with Mt. 15:19; 19:18; Mk. 10:19; Lk. 18:20; Rom. 13:9

10. Compare Ex. 20:17 with Mk. 7:22; Lk. 12:15; Rom. 1:29; 7:7; 13:9; 2Cor. 6:10; Eph. 5:3-5; Col. 3:5; 1Tim. 3:3; 1Th. 2:5; Heb. 13:5

Exodus 20:8-11 (KJV)
20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Does anyone believe that we have to follow this today?

Mt 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Mt 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Mt 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come

Now, the second witness:

Lu 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

If anyone knows what the SEVENTH Day is, and what keeping it Holy is, Yes.

But according to the carnal interpretations of all who ever pretended to do this thing, NO.

wHY do you people focus on only ten commandments? that is the sillest thing in existance. All of God's word is commandments to us.

God never at any time said, now this is optional and you may choose to obey it or not to obey it.

why is it that those of you who focus on ten commandments, which is part of that destroyed LAW system, and totally ignore the NT Commandments, which give SALVATION?

tHE LAW IS NO MORE. The law was only a schoolmaster to those who lived BEFORE JESUS CAME AND GAVE US THE PURE WORD/ COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.

La 2:6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest

La 2:9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

Mt 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied UNTIL JOHN.
Lu 16:16 The law and the prophets were UNTIL JOHN: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it

It is about time you folks stop listening to satan's ministers, and study and BELIEVE the Word of God for yourselves.

If that law was no more, after JOHN THE BAPTIST, then it was only a schoolmaster to those who lived BEFORE JOHN.

Since then, the kingdom of God is preached. Since then, the HOLY GHOST IS OUR GUIDE, OUR TEACHER, TO LEAD AND GUIIDE US INTO ALL TRUTH.

You flat deny the NT when you go back to the law of Moses.

I understand that you do not understand. You cannot separate law from the Holy Ghost, so you are in total darkness.

No, the law is not the Holy Ghost. The people of the OT under that law, DID NOT HAVE THE HOLY GHOST, FOR HE WAS NOT YET GIVEN.

Again, you do greatly err, not knowing the Scriptures.

Now if you pride yourself so much that you 'think' you know the Word so well, that you do not need to read it and study it, you are totally deceiving your own self.

now you show me someone who DOES know the word that well. Only Jesus Christ even had it that well.

and don't go trying to say he is in you so you have it. No. You do NOT have it.

Paul certainly knew more than you. He said IF YOU ARE LED OF THE SPIRIT, YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW.

God said the Law was UNTIL JOHN. So if you lived before John, sure, you needed that law, for Jesus had not come and given the world the TRUE BREAD FROM HEAVEN.

read 11Cor. 3. again and again. then come back to this.

No Scripture clearifies that the law contained in ordinances means animals sacrifices. You made that up to get around the real truth here.

Sure I understand that you do not understand. Every word you speak proves that all you have is a self-centered ego manic depression.

I never tire of reading the messages which God has given to me. They are always fresh manna from heaven. They always feed my soul with new glory, because they are not my words, but God's words. He gave them straight from Scripture.

They are the true revelation given by God. His word never grows old nor stale. Each time I read one of them, God feeds me new revelation from them, for they are revelation of his word.

Most of the time it is as if I had never heard those words before. It never ceases to amaze me at the glory of the truth God has given to me.

I am not lifting myself up. It is the glory of God. it is his truth.

and I do thank and praise Him with all my heart and soul, mind and strength, that he had enough love and mercy on me, to intrust me with this much of his Glory.

God LAW is eternal. The law which put people under such heavy bondage, came 430 years AFTER ABERHAM, THROUGH MOSES.

Why is it no one seems to understand this great difference? I am not the one who said that God abolished this law of moses. God said it.

sky, your problem is you do not understand the difference is NT ordinances and the law in ordinances. Big difference.
Very few people ever get the understanding in the difference in the OT and the NT.

You truly need to learn this difference. It could make the difference between being lost eternally, and having eternal life.
