Well we have to watch out for sure with his dishes. As soon as you let him out to his play pen, he goes right to the dishes, unlatches the doors and boom dumps the water dish first! Now all of us know this and we will try to be so much better about this. Looks like I need to buy some pad locks!

I just love how he plays to. He is so much more active than Clouseau. Upside down, branch to branch, talking with you. So different than Clouseau. Clouseau loves to play on this gym hanging from the ceiling and hanging out with us. So different!!!

Patti

Sounds like Fig is a riot ... so entertaining! I'm so happy that you are enjoying him so much, Patti!

I like the Amazons as they are so independant and can amuse themselves ... Fig does have fun and he's adjusting so nicely. Good for you Patti to make him feel so much at home...

We sure are trying that is for sure. My husband tried to much tonight and he bit him. He was cool about it but it sure did hurt him. Fig seemed to want to be petted, of course he just tricked my husband! Smarty pants he is!

Yes he does seem to entertain himself just like Clouseau my grey. They seem to be the same in that respect. Fig is much more playful. Do you think he will stay this way? No screaming yet! Found out he was born Feb 1996 so he is not that old or should I say she isn't. We don't really know he/she has never been sexed.

Still trying to get use to the smell....... what will I do if I can't stand it forever!

Patti

Abby,
I am afraid I don't think this will happen. I really am not sure I like the smell on him, around his cage. I don't know if I will be able to handle this! I am trying.

Fig sounds like a character! I hope he, and you, can both adjust and be happy, Patti. .

Me too. His previous owner tells me how thankful she is everyday when I email her about Fig.

He seems like he wants to play and talk all the time. I can't wait until he is himself. Not sure he is there 100% yet, do you think he is.

He is so low keyed, just like Clouseau my grey. No loud talks, yells, screams - nothing. He talks normal like Clouseau. I am so happy about this but can't wait to hear everything he says and sings.

Hi Patti I have 2 Amazons 1 yellow crown and one blue front and they both have that smell it seems worse when they are happy and content I couldn't stand it when I first got mine thought I'd have to mabie re home her but now I love the smell its been about 2 months now And the smell it kinda grows on you I really like the smell now and at first it was just gross. I think it helps to Know they let that smell go when they are happy and loving and just know that if you can smell it then its you that he is happy with

I'm so sorry to have to tell you this...but that smell is just gonna get worse.....it'll drive you insane and all.

So...the only thing you can do to feel better is to give him to ME!!!!!  Haaaaaahahahaaaaaahahaaaaa....just kidding of course but I bet I got a couple of members going!  Heeeeeheheheeeee...I know...I musta had something bad for breakie this morning......hey wait..I didn't have breakie!  I love that smell....I must be retarded or somehthing....but I love it!  Hubby of course says I'm nuts..so..oh well.  And what does HE know anyway!

It sure sounds like he's fitting right in making himself at home.  Them zons...gotta tell hubby to learn the bite signs...but then...Fig may have learned to hide what he's thinking about until just before it happens.  Just ask Nanners!  The thing I remember about zon's bites is they seem to grab...and grind it in to prove a point.....golly does that hurt!  Maybe his bite was just a bit fast.....like a warning.

How's Clouseau adjusting?  Any difference in attitude?  Maybe he thinks this new addition is fun to watch..lol.
