Boy is this month jam packed! Three of my sons have birthdays this month and it's Mom's too. I'm going to try to pick a date that everyone can come out and we'll celebrate everyone's at once. Then with Thanksgiving  coming up I am making a dinner here and then Wayne and I are to his sister's house in Omaha for a dinner the next day.
Oooof!
Today I got busy and rearranged and cleaned the bird room and cages. The way I have it now I can put in two more cages! Rams is due to come downstairs , so I was getting the room ready. I have pictures to share too.

Our steam cleaner died and we need to clean the carpets before Thanksgiving, so I'm going to rent one lol Why do things always die the moment the warrenty is up???

I got my kitchen organized just in time for baking for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have watched organizing shows enough and they have paid off, and my counters are clear, and things are put away It might even last for a while...yeah riiiiiight lol

The furred and feathered are fed, I'm going to soak in a hot tub! ~ Tired Nan~

Of course I remember you Toolady :)
ah , yes I do know about Basil and Pepper and Emily.  You had Pepper since I met you.  Does Sage have stubs for toes like my toeless tiel , Quasi?  I do not know why Quasi has no toes, it could be from his Mom too, but he's been bumped from home to home, so the explanation was lost somewhere.  I imagne Sage cannot climb or perch just like Quasi, what kind of set up do you have for Sage?
Congrats on another grand daughter, now for a grandson, LOL
Ray and I were about to go to a wedding that, I believe, unless you have the photo of us dressed up for his brother's college graduation.  Are we standing up or sitting down?
I may not make it for the chat, we'll be so busy with family on Thursday night with Thanksgiving and all.  But I'll do my best to check in on the messages and post away.
Ray just told me there is supposed to be two feet of snow on the ground by tomorrow morning and I have to be at work at 7 AM, UGH!
 good night everyone
Rachel

I remember the pix of you standing with your partner and it was a prom pix...
I lost so much when my computer crashed and AOL wasn't able to save any of my files.
Now I'm wondering how much you've changed? How about starting an album with  wedding photos...... Too2

Rachel you are so beautiful. What a lovely couple.. hope you don't mind but I'm going to save this one...... and I have a feeling I still have the prom pix but it's on a floppy disk.....and this computer has no attachment for floppies......
Thank you for sharing, that was a super great surprise this morning.
If you do get any downloaded please make an album with just the wedding photo's.
Abby will be happy to see it.......... Too2

thank you so much Toolady and Abbs
I got married a little over two years ago.  And yes, i guess it happens to everyone after marriage but I gained some weight after that, LOL!   But Ray looks totally the same and is as handsome as ever.
I didn't know Ray had some pictures in the computer, he had to downsize it for me though in order for it to upload .  I'm still just as computer illiterate as I was years ago.
take care everyone, hope your Thanksgiving was great.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I stayed up the night before Thanksgiving and cooked and baked. We then drove up to Omaha had dinner with Wayne's sister, turned back around came back and finished making Thanksgiving dinner for everyone here. I had all four sons home and that's getting harder to do with everyone's different work schedules.

I still haven't moved Rams down to the bird room, I've been enjoying having him in our room and working with him there. He's not much of a screamer, but does hollar ROY on the odd occasion. Neither Dale or I have any idea who Roy is LOL.

I've been working with Jack the Lory in our guest room. He's not too keen on hands in his cage, so I put a sock on my hand and he hops up onto  it. I work bare handed with him  for step up . He only seems nippy inside his cage.

I'm getting started on Xmas baking and shopping. I don't like to fight the stores on the weekends, so I'll try to go during the week. I couldn't believe the news on Friday about people fighting and shoving to get into stores to shop. Sort of takes the "Spirit" out of the season doesn't it?
Today is my son Tom's 25th birthday!  Nan

Oh boy, Nan, your story about Rams gave me a great laugh and brought back memories of my Tootsie. I bought her, a DYH, from a lady near me and she has called for Roy and Frieda for years. Still does. The lady didn't know a Roy or a Frieda and neither did I.

I have to tell this story. I was on the cmputer late one night, and I tip toed into the bedroom trying to be very quiet and not distrub Wayne. Rams was kind of doozing but startrd talking to me just a little bit. I told him night night and he was quiet for a while. I was just dozing off when Rams yells ROY and I mean yells!! the dogs all started to bark like mad and I sat straight up in the bed! Wayne naturally slept through the whole thing!!
Dale thank you but i have a 29 year old son too! Nan

It is hot and humid today (83 degrees)  and breathing is a chore..... Rest time again and I may as well read posts while I drink my cuppa.....
The roses are still blooming as are the Hib's but the leaves look awful........ time to chop off heads and cut them all back.
Some neighbours have the Xmas lights up and flashing half the night.... it doesn't even put me in the mood for Christmas as I bake first then decorate later. It seems the spirit and joy gets earlier every year.....
We did get a good rain storm during the night and so our humidity is reaching the three digit mark, hence the problem breathing.
Still trying to get a reasonably priced ticket home. If I hesitate for a second it's gone.... and then I start all over again. The word non refundable plays havoc with my head and purse strings..  Too2

I woke up this morning to ... TA DA!! SNOW!!  Unfortunately, it was all gone by the time I left work this afternoon, but it was nice while it lasted.

Been really busy at work, and babysitting for Emily and Julia in my 'spare' time. I really love being with them, but it sure is tiring trying to keep up with 2-year-old and a 4-year-old granddaughters. I did manage to pick up some little outfits for the girls for Christmas, but other than that, Christmas shopping is still ahead of me.

Oh yes ... my father turns 82 tomorrow, so we are going out for dinner to celebrate. Which reminds me, it's also Bill Vance's birthday tomorrow (only he isn't going to be 82!!) ... Happy Birthday, Bill!!

Hope all is going well with the rest of you!

Abby
