THE THREE DAN TIENS     Here is a brief description to help you get a feel of what the Dan Tiens relate too, a book that covers this and the many connections, is by a practitioner named  DANIEL REID   the book is called  Guarding The Three Treasures     On the front of the diagram two points up on the diagram at the level of the belly is the point known as the lower Dan Tien, it's Chinese name is  Chi Chung,  as we proceed more names will be added to the points.   THE THREE DAN TIENS   It is  the energy circuit that we also use to connect to the heavenly energies, these energies relate to the planets and stars and find their connections through the microcosmic circuit which transmits the appropriate energies to the the various body organs.       In it's journey around the body the microcosmic circuit passes through the three dan tiens twice, once whilst lifting the earth energies from the Hui yin [Perineum]  sacrum to the Ba hui [crown or sahashra ] and once whilst passing through the front of the body, as heavenly energy is drawn down to earth        Chi Kung and Tai Chi relate to the body the mind and spirit, as do the three dan tiens which are defined as:-      1)  Upper dan tien  which is the realm from the crown to the base of the neck.    2)  Middle dan tien  which is the realm from the neck to the diaphram.     3)  Lower dan tien Which is the realm that goes from the lower diaphram to the hui yin, the centre of this dan tien lies about 2.5 ins bellow the belly button and it is here that the alchemy of energy transformation is started in this system.         Each of the dan tiens has its specific functions in the overall transformation and each depends on the right function of the other dan tiens to function holistically.  Thus the function of the microcosmic circuit is to reconnect the three centres so that they interact harmoniously, thus instead of losing valuable energy through wrong connectivity we start to restore it.   The most obvious symbol of this is contained in the Yin Yang  circle where the light section moves upward carrying with it the darkness and in the downward movement of the dark that contains the light...this is in fact a profound symbol a duality of unity and is an expression of the macrocosmic reality that is contained within us as the microcosmic circuit with all its connections...as above so below it is said.       Wepage, Backgrounds & Codes By Topaz/Sandy© Information Provided By:- Sutapadas© This Page Is Not Shareware Or Linkware Please Do Not Copy Or Remove Any Part Designed Exclusively For A Jewel In The Crown
