For this exercise we are going to use the minds eye to circulate the chi through all the limbs the head and the torso, the posture is the same as for the previous exercises.
At first we may not actually feel the chi moving, but after a while the imaginary lines of guidance will be felt as you truly feel the chi..........the line of chi may feel warm or tingly or as subtle fluid moving along the paths that the mind is moving along, if you do these exercises with your eyes closed you may see the chi internally as light.
With the eyes closed I noticed that one was very aware of posture too, since the usual external attractions have been cut off, and now our world is more internalized.....which is very useful when we are doing internal exercises such as these { these internal exercises are known as nei dan...whereas external exercises are known as wai dan } thus exercises that use both means of moving chi are a mixture of wai dan and nei dan
Ok so here goes...so standing in horse stance {that is the posture with legs shoulder width apart knees slightly bent rekaxed shoulders straight back, head as though supported from crown by a thread, hands on lower Dan Tien,
1) On an out breath lead the chi to the perineum...and allow hands to float don to your sides
2) On the in breath bring the chi up the front and across to the armpits with the minds eye
3) On the out breath lead the chi down the inside of the arms then to the centre of the palms ,
4) On the in breath, draw the chi up the outsides of the arms, from the back of the hands....across the back of the shoulders into the neck then up to the ba hui {crown of the head }
5) On the out breath lead the chi down the back to the ming men the door of life...at which point with minds eye lead the chi outwards on both sides with minds eye....then lead it down the outside of the legs down to the little toes
6) On the in breath lead the chi up from the big toes up the inside of legs through the perineum, the hui yin then on up to the chest and up to the shoulders
7) Then repeat twice on the repeat only bring the chi to the lower Dan Tien and then stabilize the chi with the stabilizing breath i have given earlier.
All the exercises so far given should become one whole pattern, each leading into the other.........there is another part to this but it is good to master these first...I will give the rest a little later though in practice they will become the ending of the set of exercises for our opening.
