We just like the Chinese can make our own observations of the yin and yang paradigm of Daoist reality. The word yin relates to the shady side of a hill and yang to the bright side, thus as the day proceeds the balance of yin and yang changes, it may also be considered that the astrological effects of the sun moon and planets are variations of the yin and yang received by us as various positive and negative energies and that everything on this planet feeds on them as and according to their natures, that is their tendency to being yin or yang, each particular thing has its own yin or yang nature, thus in Chinese medicine the nature of the plant or mineral or whatever is considered in respect in part to the yin or yang nature of the disease, again Daniel Reid is worth reading on this subject. The microcosmic circuit is itself comprised of a yin yang nature, from the hui yih to the Hsuan yin is the yang section, this is the du channel the fire channel the control channel. The front channel is the ren channel or functional channel and the various meridians to and from the body organs have a yin and yang nature as do the body organs themselves the muscles bones and cells etc , all being either yin or yang in varying degrees. Now since the whole system depends on good function in the psychic cosmic circuit for its energy supplies, we can see that the circling of energy in this orbit is essential. All yangs have their yin factors and vice versa.
