THE GUIDING LIGHT

All need someone to guide them.  All need to be shown a way across the chasms that open up within life.  People build bridges of understanding for others to find help and comfort.  A guide that shows the way needs the Light that will illuminate the road ahead.  The Torch, a symbol of radiance, a sign of Peace, that which displays and lightens the pathways that leads a person to that point which they seek.  The Torch-bearer holds aloft the flame that is like a beacon, guiding people through life, steering people around the obstacles that are placed before them.  Allowing them to see the things which once alluded them, bringing clarity to a dim situation.  To grow in enlightenment is to be shown the Light, symbolically, a representation of Awareness.  The Torch is carried by the ones who guide us through our lives, on the personal routes and the Spiritual Ways.  The Torch represents the Eternal Flame, the Torch-bearers are those who carry the eternal flame that ignites the spark which is fanned to bring the greatest of enlightenment.    For me, personally, I was given the name Gideon, who is my Spirit Guide, on looking up the meaning of the name, I saw that it meant Torch-bearer.  He is my guiding Light, he shows to me The Way, he is that which illuminates my path and provides  the clear sight which I need, he extends his beam along this road that is my journey of life.  He is the one who brings to me the Love, the Light, the Truth and the Peace.  His mighty hand holds the mighty torch, that for me symbolizes that which he wishes me to view with clarity.  His words, his wisdom, his teachings, his knowledge are my companions as I travel through life.  He has brought to me the greatest of illumination and awareness.  My road has had many twists and turns, riddled with pot-holes and laden with boulders and I plod along with him at my side..........Topaz
