Dear Members it saddens me to say that msn have decided to close all msn groups in Feb 2009.   We have been offered an alternative at a place called Multiply, they will migrate the group over there, however it is totally different to what we are used to.  The layout is different and they don't migrate the web pages over that have been created in here for the various topics etc.  They say that the content such as the text will be transferred.  People who have done this with their groups report that they have lost a lot of their group content in the process.   Over the years people have painstakingly created pages and at the moment we have been advised to copy all the albums that contain our page pieces and copy all the html codes in order to reproduce the pages one by one again over at Multiply or any other group that may offer a better alternative to Multiply, at the moment I am waiting for a list of group options which I will look at to see if it fulfills our needs.  Many people are in the same boat so hopefully there will be one or two that most people prefer.   I am at the moment backing up to my computer as much of the content in here as I feel is needed ready to convert in another group.  This is going to be a very long process as everything that you see in here will have to be done again page by page code by code.  If this group has served its purpose during the 7 or 8 years it has been around and we feel that it has exhausted its use then there is no point in me re-doing everything.  Everybody has contributed to this group and I want to thank each and everyone of you for all that you have done to support what we have tried to do which was to help and to post the things we have that will be of use to people.   Should you wish for this group to continue albeit in a different format then I will either migrate it over to Multiply or look for somewhere else that I can rebuild this group, this will of course take time and anyone who is interested would have to re-apply for membership at the new group.  By the time that msn closes the groups most will have found a new home, so if we also do this then I will post on this message board all the information you will need to join the new group site.   Thankyou again, it has been a pleasure and honour to have known each of you, and should we all go our separate ways when msn groups close then I wish you all peace and happiness.
