Highway of Life
Cruising down the highway
Braking as you need,
Slowing down at junctions
And trying not to speed.
Resting in the lay-bys,
Making service stops,
Filling up with fuel,
But the mileage on the clock
Is always ticking onward
So steady as you go,
This car is very precious
So sometimes take it slow.
The road that lies before you
On each ones map is shown,
No matter where you start from
It always takes you home.
Your body is the vehicle
Your mind it drives the car,
The signs are there to guide you
So you know just where you are.
And at your destination,
When you're at journeys end,
You just park up your vehicle,
And then you do transcend.
