MOTHER EARTH

The earth, the sun, the moon, the stars,

Our whole wide universe,

For all to see, to bring to us

The knowledge to reverse.

For many realise in awe

That what they know, now shows,

That life cannot survive the fall

If radiation grows.

So realise and stand and say

Though yes,  some countries reap,

Whilst others live in poverty,

Some give while others keep.

But with pollution, toxic waste,

The ozone layer will fail,

So what's the point in having wealth

If what you breathe grows stale.

The purity of fresh clean air,

The life within each breath,

If man does not review this plight

You could inhale your death.

So as ye sow, so ye shall reap,

As many quote this line,

So man will find that this is true

In a future time.

The soil will not submit and grow

As it does today.

So honour this our Mother Earth

And not let it decay.
