One day I hope to gaze upon A world, once filled with plight, And see a place so greatly changed, Outspread for me to sight. Nature in a perfect poise, Resounding harmony, And though man has struggled, His truth has set him free. When suffering was a pattern Of each bygone age, And driven by his righteousness, Man, will this, assuage. And form a great alliance All striving to keep peace, Equality, a right for all, A single firm belief. And the assault on Mother Earth Allayed, restored and nurtured. Thriving in her dignity, Unshackled from her torture. And like the pheonix rising from The ashes with a cry, So all will know this plenitude, One day, as time goes by.
