The fairground, imagine this as your life. What then do we find within this fairground that we can relate to on every day terms. To start with, the roller-coaster, the ups and downs of ones life, one minute high, then whoosh, before you know it, plummeting down before you can stop it. Then the Ghost train, a journey where one is faced with their greatest fears, but keeping the eyes closed does not make them disappear. The Hall of Mirrors, countless reflections of ones Inner-Self, which one is the true you within the many distortions, it is up to you to look and find the one that you wish to resemble how you would like to be. Then there is the Journey into the Caves, here one goes deep within ones Self. What lies within these depths, all that you are, all that you need to find out about your own Self, to see the essence of your own persona. The merry-go-round, well all have been taken for a ride on this a few times. Just get off when you are fed up of going no-where but round in circles. The Fun Palace, to laugh and play and enjoy ones self, to find the release from inhabitions and to have a break from the greater restraints. The Waltzers, continually spinning one round in confusion, unable to grasp just exactly where you are and just when you think you are getting your head straight, along comes the man and spins you round again. The Arcades, where one bets and takes the chances, trusting luck is on ones side and that one will hit the jackpot, to go then to another machine with a bigger pay-out, why not be satisfied with the smaller amounts, one may lose everything. The Freak Show, do you believe all what you see and are told, or is it just a clever illusion, doctored to seem more convincing. The Big Wheel, where one can soar to great heights and see what you couldn't see before whilst upon the ground. Master of your own eyes, to look at things from a totally different view point. So the next time you go into a fairground, just imagine, this is your life. Received from Gideon by Topaz 1995. |
