If we shatter a china cup we may be saddened more than if it were an ordinary cup. The china cup is a more expensive object, but it is still only an object and its value is only material. So it is with people, a rich man is no better a person than a poor man, they are both people. Some people have a greater attraction towards a rich man and because they wish society to regard them as his equal, they seek his company, but his value is only material. His material wealth may not be as great as the poor mans Spiritual wealth. The gold edged china cup may look better, but what it holds will taste just the same as from an ordinary cup, it is just the vessel that holds the liquid. People therefore are as this, the vessels for what is inside. It is the liquid of the Inner-Self that is more important, not the cup that holds it.
