From Gemini Dreamer (Lori-ann)

From My Quill
By Lori-ann

Sitting quietly
       At my desk
       I write about
       Whatsoever
       Is on my mind

Most times
       It's you

Even though
       I know
       I'm near positive
       You'll never read
       These words

So the ink
       Dries
       On paper
       Again

While the tears
       Dry on
       My face
       As they do

And the words
       Fade
       From this page
       And dissolve
       Back
       Into the void
       From whence they came

But I write
       I write
       Still more

Hoping
       Always hoping
       Somehow
       Maybe some way
       A phrase
       Or perhaps
       Just a word
       Will fall
       From my quill
       And make
       Its way
       To your hands
       To your eyes
       To your heart

LOL
I was going to jump in with a poem I just wrote and then I saw that someone already posted one of mine.
But I might still jump in anyways...I call it "Like my reflection"

Like my reflection

A mirror to the future

I see another myself

In a world far away

Taking a drink from the cup

The elixir whets my hungry soul

I look to the heavens as

Feathers fall down

And I bathe in their weightlessness

I’m surrounded by the light of

A thousand pale candles

Rays and rays and rays

Cover me and take me

With their elongated fingertips

On a voyage through the ages

Past the dances of my childhood

And on through the dreams of my youth

On a night flight through the Multiverse

I see faces of the people

Babe child maiden and crone

Those I was and am to be

Greeting them with smiles and embraces

As well, bidding them adieu

With a nod and a firm handshake

They disappear into the mists

From whence they came

And I as well take leave of their world

And all of its trappings and treasures

I float back down to the earthly plane

Basking in the stillness of my adventure

I reflect on my dream of the world

And each other myself

That I met and embraced and set free

Like reflections

Yeah,like my reflections

LOL--I just did the graphics for that one at CTC!!!  You could go there (annex 2, of course), copy it and paste it here as a new message on the Members Poetry board.  That's been working for me for some reason.  Btw--Fabulous poem, dear one. (and how did I know about it, you may ask?  LOL--saw it at TNG and couldn't resist!)

Wasn't this one of your dreams?  Or a journey?  In any case--did it make you sad to see your older self, or was it kind of neat?

It didn't make me sad at all to see the older 'mes" .  It felt sort of comforting.
Great job on the graphics as usual angel

You're both so sweet!  But I insist the art is the writer's--I only try to pay homage.  The graphics for " . . .Quill" were actually done by the manager of another group--she taught me how to do the pages.  Less than a year ago, Inofrmation Processing degree and all, I was clueless about Windows.  Between that lady and a couple of memberships in groups, plus the opportunity to work with beautiful poetry, I have come this far.  Now to only be able to create graphics like siggy's . . .ahhhh.

Hi Angel I understand what you are saying...the art is in the writings as well...and you have duly credited Gemini...we also on any pages that we use someone elses graphic art, have to credit the artist as well...and copyright it to them...some artists do not allow their work to be used...although many people do when designing a page or sig etc and it is a breach of copyright...so as best as we can we have to know who the artist is and if we have permission to use their art...and then place on our page the credits and copyright....Your pages are lovely and if I can help you with sig design I will....what Art Program do you use....I am only familiar with Paint Shop Pro....although I do believe that they are all basically the same...Love and Light xx

Ah, I see.  The graphics (backgrounds) were from permissioned albums in this case, and we often change a little here, a  little there, on each other's creations.  So no problem.  I promise.  Lori-ann could tell you that 90% of the poetry pages at that community are my work anyway; this was one of the few exceptions.  Can't see that she credited the pic in the first place (original artist and site obtained)--so couldn't tell ya

That does remind me, though--I have some sets in my album here that I need to add a logo to--erg!  Thank you so much for the reminder!!!!!

Oh--you could edit and "Page created by Jenni Siri" if you would be more comfortable?  And I will keep it in mind if using one of hers again.  If you don't see a credit, it's mine (and I don't mind)

Hi Angel...No I don't mean backgrounds they are freely available and no-one bothers too much about those...there are loads of graphics on Graphics sites that we just don't have any idea where they came from...they are tubed by other people who offer them as snags...I am really only talking about original photos and art..such as Josephine Wall etc...where we are obliged to add her name in the credits and copyright...I normally put 'artist unknown' if I don't know whose they are..just to show I have not blatently ignored copyright laws...your pages are just fine and lovely...and I have absolutely no doubt they are all your own work...I only mentioned you giving yourself credit for your design and creation to protect you in case someone comes and snags it without your permission....Love xx
