Hi Everybody;
Its nice to be missed!
Here's my standard pitch in re Isabel: We just got our cable back this afternoon (went out before the electric and phones did). Isabel only gave us a little over 3 and a quarter inches (but 60+ mph winds), but two days later we had a severe wind storm which dropped a bit more more than 2 and a half inches, then yesterday we got 3 quarters of inch. We're expecting more tonight and tomorrow. So far this year we're 15 inches above the yearly average. We had no power or phones for about 2 days, then lost them again for most of another. We had several trees come down plus I have two big spruces that lodged and I'll have to have them cut down. Our garage also flooded--the place is a real mess but no structural damage. Compared to others we got off lightly.
My new-found 6th cuz, once-removed sent me a humongous fax on the Jacks/Jaaks family--unfortunately most of it was on lines other than my own. I used my time of-line to make some headway on my Jaaks data base but still have to finish it so I can share with my new-found kin. The feller who did the Jaaks family tree doesn't like computers but I understand that as soon as Oktoberfest season is over (he runs a Polka-band in Arlington Heights--url is www.jimmysbavarians.com) he intends to call me.
Carolyn, et al., you did a bang-up job. Looks like Susan got more than enough to work with and hopefully Margaret will be well served also. I appreciate you taking the bit and running with it and ask that you do the same for next week as I have a lot of catching-up to do.
Nice to be back, Cheers as always, Wayne.
P.S. Willowbend Books (Heritage Publishing) in Westminster, MD, is having a 20% off sale this weekend.

Wayne, Glad to hear that "Dizzy Izzy" didn't tear you up too badly. There was a lot of wind and tree limb damage here in Virginia--we were without electricity for a solid week, and some folks don't have any power even yet. What a lot of work to clean up behind such a messy lady! Ruth |

Thank you so much for all that information on the Organs and Mabrys! Shirley Webb is my 3rd cousin and she and I have exchanged much information! Margaret |
