Jane Goldman is the presenter of her own show on Living TV called Jane Goldman Investigates which is often shown on late nights. She investigates a whole host of things from hypotherapy, to learning about her past lives, psychometry, trying her hand at predicting the future, spell casting, looking into how people can communicate with the dead and Exorcism, to name a few topics. I really enjoy the show so I thought I would add some of her programme episodes as they are really interesting! Jane is also the wife of TV personality Jonathan Ross. This Episode Sypnosis is about Jane's investigation into Poltergeists.

Jane begins by explaining that the word poltergeist comes from the German word - Noisey Ghost.

Janes has three cases to investigate and the first begins in the USA.

Seymour, Connecticut, USA

As Jane drives up to the house which is said to be haunted with poltergeist activity she points out that all the houses in this area date back to the 16th century. The lady that Jane visits is called Bonnie. After her husbands death was when they activity started to occur although it did seem to start earlier as her young daughter, at the time they pulled up to the house to move in, didnt want to go inside because she said it was evil. Bonnie spoke of the feeling of hatred felt in the house at times as if someone was up close to your face starting you down - she described it as pure hate and evil. Over the years Bonnie and her family suffered strange and terrifying experiences in the house - pictures would fly off the walls, firese would start and strange images would start to appear in photos. Bonnie told Jane that nothing would drive her from her home, not even a poltergeist, however her daughter's moved out of the house as soon as they were old enough. Jane spoke to the daughters about when things first started happening to them and one daughter told of the feelings she had of not wanting to be in the house, that she felt something did not want them there and how she would always feel like she was being watched or else having someone breathing down her neck - said she was very afraid.

The second daughter told Jane how one night at around 1130-12 at night she was on the phone to a friend laying on her bed when her bed raised off the floor and just hovered there for about a minute or more! She said she had been terrified but that she hadnt known how to react to something she could feel but could not see - she added she had never felt so scared in her life. Jane asked if they ever felt they were in danger and Bonnie said yes, they have been absolutely terrified.

Eventually Bonnie called on internationally known demonologist, Lorraine Warren. Bonnie followed the advice that Lorraine gave her after visiting her home for quite a few weeks and then eventually the terrifying occurances came to a halt - or so it seemed............after a 4 year break the attacks seemed to start up again, so now, Lorraine Warren has come back to find out what is going on. She joined Jane in the house and said that the energy which had been coming from one of the daughters while she had lived at home wasnt as strong anymore but that it was still not right. She told Jane how on her last visit, her team of researchers had stayed the night at Bonnies house and had all experienced objects moving - a mattress being punched from underneath it. lorarine said she was interested to know whether there had been any use of ouiji boards or occult related behaviour in the house at any time as that type of thing she had seen many times be the cause of poltergeist activity. She explained how some spirits laid dormant just waiting for an opportunity to come through in this way. As she stood talking to Jane she said she felt the atmosphere was just too much to bear at that moment.

Lorraine and her team were now installed in the house with all their equipment, monitors, cameras, sound equipment etc set up. They talked about hoping to catch a sighting of a small girl who has been seen there reguarly.

Some of the researchers sat watching at the monitors as Jane sat in one of the rooms in the dark. Straight away amazingly lots of huge solid orbs (and I mean big!) were seen flying around Jane, they looked more like spotlights than orbs! One of the team saw a dark shdaow in a doorway so Jane joined her and more orbs were seen. Another member of the reasearch team picked up strange unexplainable sounds aswell. Next Jane and Bonnie went into one of the rooms which had previously had alot of activity in it. As they sat in the darkness, the research team sat watching the monitors and almost straight away a "very" strange shape was caught on camera - its hard to explain what it looked like but it wasnt an orb or a light anomoly - it kind of moved back and forth from the right hand side of the camera and then disappeared! It was quite scary to see.

As Jane sat next to Bonnie she said the atmosphere was very oppresive and very cold. She said she could feel intense pressure drops, like you would experience for example on a plane. They heard noises, and felt as though someone was in the room with them as well as something outside the door. Next Jane start to shudder deeply and couldnt stop herself from shaking. After 15 minutes worth Jane said she was glad to get out of that room as it had been creepy and her skin was literally crawling in her own words. She also had experienced a deep pain behind her eyes as she sat in the room in the thick atmosphere.

Jane's next case to investigate was the Enfield Poltergeist...
