Poltergeists
What are poltergeists? It is widely beleived that they are ghosts or spirits which have the ability to move objects, create disturbances by making loud noises, creating smells etc, basically causing disturbances which cannot be explained such as furniture moving or banging, bed's shaking, objects being dropped, rapping, footsteps and in extreme cases people have been pushed, shoved or thrown by some unseen force. Sometimes the activity is playful where objects disappear and then reappear as if someone was playing a prank.
Some people think that this type of activity is caused by the mind of a human being ie telekinesis and not a ghost, which is when people can cause things to happen by extreme concentration of the mind. There have been accounts of people bending spoons, making glass crack or objects move or shake, just by concentrating and thinking about it. There was once a case of a man who could take pictures with his mind!
So this then follows on to the idea that poltergeist activity could actually be caused by teenagers going through puberty (usually females). It has been said that when teenagers are stressed out with all that growing up brings ie changes to their body both emtionally, physically, hormonally and mentally, that this negative and aggresive energy again causes telekinesis ability.
