I used to live in an old cottage going back 10 years now I think. It was a tiny 2 bed cottage and the front door opened straight into the small living room which I never liked lol! I gather it used to have beams in it but someone had covered them up so the ceilings were really low. Anyway even though the cottage had a nice enough feel to it I always felt uneasy in the kitchen and the small cold bathroom which lead off from the kitchen.  There was the main bedroom upstairs and a smaller tiny room with a really miniature window in it �?I can’t say I ever liked the feel of that little room either.  Nothing I could really put my finger on, only that if I ever went upstairs I always felt like just running quickly (which I usually did) when I was coming down the stairs as if there was something there, like a presence behind me.<o:p></o:p>

There were the usual strange things that happened but nothing that really freaked me out, such as keys going missing and also I used to wear a lot of silver jewellery (rings) and I always put them in the same spot but they would always go missing and then just like that they would mysteriously reappear in the place I had previously left them.<o:p></o:p>

I had a number of strange dreams whilst living in there, things like I would be in the house alone in bed early morning and then one time I thought my ex had come in from work early as I heard the bedroom door open and then felt someone get into bed with me, next thing there was hands around me cuddling me, until when I tried to move I actually couldn’t as the grip got tighter then I’d panic.  I think these are what you call lucid dreams but I only ever had them in that cottage and the really freaked me out so much so I couldn’t sleep. I would get up early and sit downstairs afraid to doze off.  Anyway one thing that happened was I was in the kitchen doing something, think it was a Sunday. There were see-through wooden stairs in the kitchen that went upstairs so if someone came down the stairs you would see or hear them. And if you where in the kitchen and need to access the small bathroom/loo or go outside you would have to walk through the kitchen, open one glass door which was always kept closed.<o:p></o:p>

So I was washing up or something and I heard my ex run down the stairs, felt him go by me, pick up the keys and go through the living room, open the front door and shut it, infact the door really banged loudly.  I didn’t bother looking I just shouted oi �?will you get me a paper if you are going to the paper shop. By the time I’d spoken out was when I heard the front door bang shut, so I ran across the room and opened the front door to shout him back and he wasn’t there, his car was there but he wasn’t, no sign?  So went back in and thought well where is he? I checked the bathroom/shouted out to him/I even went out the back, round the back passage and checked the front gate and they were all locked. Then I went into the tiny shed outside and he wasn’t in there.  This took about 6 mins as I was rushing around. Next thing I hear him upstairs asking me what the racket was, I said to him where did you go? Where have you been etc etc but it turned out he’d been upstairs the whole time, he hadn’t heard a thing and he’d not been anywhere.  I did wonder if had played a trick on me by someone going out the front door and going up the side passage and in the back door, but theres no way he could have done it as that door is locked on the inside and the front gate was locked.  Also the keys had gone missing!! That really did freak me out because I hadn’t imagined it.  We had lots of disagreements about the keys going missing after that  (as we kept them on a key hook in the kitchen), then they would just appear.<o:p></o:p>

Also at night sometimes or early morning, we would hear what sounded like a horse and cart and the sound of bells (small bells jingling) and then the horses hoofs would slow down outside the bed room window and you’d hear that noise a horse makes as if it was just standing outside but making that noise as if its out of breath�?sounds really weird I know but its true.<o:p></o:p>
