Among the Stars

This sweet and silent breath,

This twinkle in a sparkling eye,

Has blessed us,

Walked on,

And with a parting smile,

Bid all adieu - And said Goodbye.

I'd never met this fragile child

Born on desert wind and sand,

Yet feel her loss I surely do

She touched us all with gentle hand;

These hands unseen, held friendship dear

And gripped it like an iron band.

The stars above seem undisturbed,

Their frozen fire as always burns,

Yet one can sense that

As they spin,

The heavens bid  "Sweet Kate -

Come in."

Each night we'll gaze towards the skies,

 Search heaven for an Angels�?eyes,

She’ll twinkle brightly, shine and beam

A princess born of desert dreams,

We’ll kiss the evening moonlit breeze

Where

Great Spirit's daughter rests in peace.
