My Heart Doth Swell: As winter's icy fingers release their frozen grip, And snow begins an endless thaw and rain ceases its drip; As sunrise seems to stretch each day And flowers bloom in bright display, I know that spring is on its way - And my heart begins to skip. When greying clouds drift from the sky, And blue skies bring their warmth and dry; When breathless breeze is filled with scent And daylight hours seem heaven sent, I know my time has been well spent - And my heart feels heaven's high. All seasons bid a sad farewell, They come in turn to cast their spell; The summer's sun, the winter's veil The springtime blooms on hill and dale, The autumn leaves that soft winds sail - And each My heart doth swell. by: John Woods ¤Aü§ Póꆙ¤ 26th April, 2002 View My Guestbook Sign My Guestbook |
