There is a silence as the sunset turns to gold, a warm blue sea
Whose waves with blond crests billowing
Wash upon a timeless beach;
There is warmth and love abounding
As we walk along this shore,
Our hearts and hands, a single soul
Of love - I ask no more.
And where in all this paradise, where palm and sand meets sea,
Could one envisage anything
That would tear your heart from me?
Your eyes, the starlight sparkle of an early evenings light
Fill my soul - Complete me,
As in love we walk this night.
Our barefoot gentle footfall
In the sands washed warm by tide,
In step, In love
We share our dreams of lifelong
Side-by-side.
I pray, that should tomorrow come
And shift paradise somehow,
That I can spend forever -
In your arms,
The here - The now!
The darkness brings its shadows as the sunset heralds stars,
The paradise is fleeting,
But not the love that’s ours;
And as we lay to share our dreams
As lovers this sweet night;
I pray that for forever,
You will remain
My Love,
Starlight.
