They call me Jacob's Trouble but that is only a screen name and my actual name is withheld for security reasons. My pen name is Edward King and I am a freelance writer and a consultant. I currently live in a small community in northern Alberta, Canada, away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. I moved to the municipality of Greenview twelve years ago, because I was concerned about the evil that was impermeating my country and I wanted desperately to protect the lives and welfare of my only wife and children at that time. I wanted my family out of the city. This does not mean that I was so naive as to think that this was the ideal escape from the evils of this world, but I would still like to think that it narrowed down the opportunity for many things to occur that would have otherwise prevented me from intervening in the lives of my family as a proper father and husband should. As a result I managed to protect and to preserve the spiritual safety of my family by a few extra years and I certainly do not regret my decision. Many Oneness believers were already leaving my area during the mid-nineties and soon there were no brethren left to be found in Greenview, Alberta, as near as I could tell. My ministry began when the Brethren in my area left to return to Nova Scotia and various other places from whence they came. I then opened THE HOUSE OF PRAYER in my home in the knowledge that God is One and did conduct regular prayer meetings with worship and praise three nights a week, for some years. I received the Holy Ghost (His name is Jesus) in the HOUSE OF PRAYER evidenced by speaking in tongues. I must say that this was a great surprise for some of us. THE HOUSE OF PRAYER grew and waxed strong until the enemy finally came and scattered the sheep. I consulted the Lord in this and my instructions were to "stay put" although I did not know the reason why at that time. Only now, many things are making much sense to me and I will continue to abide in the faith while I await further instruction. It is a vanity to "second guess" God.
Yes, I now have two, genuine, bonafide wives. Each of these ladies do agree that they are indeed my wife and neither one of them has ever asked me for a divorcement �?not that I ever gave either of them cause to do so. I did not deal treacherously with the wife of my youth, as some might suppose, but rather, I received her blessing on acquiring a new bride directly from her own lips. I trust that this information will put some questions to rest. My only son is a man now, and lives with his own wife in the city. My beloved daughter still lives with me, but neither of my wives officially reside in my home on a permanent basis. They both know that they are welcome to dwell with me if they are content to do so. Unfortunately there are many unjust laws in my country preventing them both from living under my roof with me at the same time. Nonetheless these two ladies are indeed my wives in the truest sense of the BIBLE description. They are not the wives of "another man"and I do not "share" them with another man. Bible marriage is not worldly polyandry and it is not worldly polygamy either. Neither one of them is the "ex-wife" of another man with respect to any writ of marital contract and they have never, at any time, received a writ of divorcement. They are verily my wives only and there is no former husband. They are l'basar echad ,"ONE FLESH", d'x,a r'f'b.l with me alone and there is no "other father".
For the record, I would consider marrying a widow in accordance with scripture if JESUS presented me with this option. Both of my wives do know one another, they have both seen one another, they have spoken to one another in person, shared my home at the same time, and they have prayed for one another. One is the wife of my youth and the other is my new bride. One of them is here, in this forum, using the screen name of Jacobs_Beloved. The wife of my youth does not currently use a computer but she is preparing for this. One is caucasian and the other is of indigenous extraction. A man having two wives at the same time is no less biblical than a man married to a woman of different skin color. Moses knew this, but Aaron and Miriam needed a little help from God before they could understand it. I trust that the reader will not require the same measure of help. I love both my wives dearly, even as a loving father values all that are his. Things are not as some suppose, and I often grow weary of explaining myself to all those who have not yet received the true revelation of godly marriage because their hearts and minds are yet carnal. Sadly, too many today are incapable of understanding marriage beyond carnality. The reason for this is because they do not understand godly sanctification in the HOLY SPIRIT.
I realize that my honesty has opened me to vicious attack, but I also know that it is a true testimony that some men are verily called to a husbandry of a different sort. I refuse to believe that God would spare a remnant that it should not be fruitful or multiply. This is not a sin. It is a sin however, for a man to "put away" his wife to marry another. Neither am I an adulterer because I have not taken another man's wife for my own. I welcome the days when my new bride returns to live with me again and I am grateful for the visits of the wife of my youth. No, it is not as some would suppose �?the wife of my youth is still my wife and she is pleased with her decision to remain so. Let the god of this world call me an "egg-sucking dog", or anything they wish, but I will not be ashamed of God's own truth. I do not hate women, neither am I a womanizer. I believe in godly commitment to both my wives, even with respect to the marriage bed, as I am their husband. I am even prepared to commit myself to another if this is what my Lord desires. Now this is not fornication. I am grateful to God for this revelation and I will make no apology for FULL BIBLE TRUTH. I have a witness and my witness is true. God is not the author of confusion and I do not confuse the BRIDEGROOM for the BRIDE, as some evidently do. I am not a Roman Catholic. I uphold the Apostle's doctrine which plainly states that Christ Jesus is the HUSBANDMAN and the BRIDEGROOM over a multitude of human souls comprising the BRIDE who has only One Lord, One Master, and One King. Therefore I ask my brethren: Is it a sin for a man to follow his LORD's example?
Verily God is not a woman that He should have a Master and the Church is indeed the BRIDE of Christ. Just how many individual souls will be united with the Lamb in the Bride? Only one? This is spiritual and all godly marriage is spiritual. Union in the flesh does not comprise a godly marriage, and a piece of paper and some vows does not a marriage make. Men are not women and women are not men. "This" is not "that" and I am not a "weasel", but a man. I certainly do 'rule the roost' in my home where I am lord and master. My ministry is to urge fellow patriarchs to gird their loins and take back what belongs to them, to act like men of God, and return to the ancient landmarks He gave us. My ministry is to encourage women to stop behaving like men and to honor their husbandman who strives to protect and to provide �?regardless of whether they have sister-wives or not. Ladies: A truly loving husband will never love his first wife less because his wife grants him her blessing to acquire an additional wife or wives. Rather, he will bless her name before God and hold her in high esteem! He will reverence her until the end of his days for this. I should also like to make it clear that it is not mandatory for a man of God to require his wife's or wives' blessings to take an additional spouse to wife; however, he would be prudent to require it if he would desire to keep peace in his home. The husbandman is not called to be a tyrant, but to rule over his household with compassion just as Jesus does.
I reverence my wives and my children also, holding them all dearly in my heart. King David surely loved his own. I am not a materially wealthy man but I do not ship my wives out to welfare programs to take tax dollars, I do not sell them into slavery, and I support them every which way I can. Although I have had threats made on my life for holding to this position and I have been falsely-accused of many other sins, I am only further encouraged that the Word of God is true and that it is not a sin for a godly man to have a plurality of wives �?it is a sin for him to deal treacherously with them. No, I am not a Mormon and nor shall I ever be one. I am a true believer in JESUS, the Only Wise God, and I know that God is ONE God and ONE Man. I do surely speak in tongues as the spirit gives me utterance, and I pray daily. I am a writer and this is my work. Let it be done to the glory of God. Jesus knows them that are His.
HOW SAD, that after over a millennium of lies and bondage to the Great Harlot, that only now, some Apostolic brothers and sisters are finally AWAKENING to those same revelations from God that were kept from them by that same JEZEBEL SPIRIT who blinded their fathers' fathers' fathers. What a shame it is to humanity that she succeeded in confusing and deceiving successive generations of worldly nations that they should believe a lie and support her false doctrines of perpetual adultery and mandatory monogamy, so much so, that she should not appear to forbid to marry! How wicked and calculating! She may well have authority over the kings of the earth, but she sleeps with a snake. That same old serpent who knew the weakness of the woman that he perceived could make him the head of Eve, that she could rule over Adam, even that they might altogether corrupt the perfect will of God! Think about it �?how deviously clandestine!
I surely do reverence and respect my wives, both of whom are precious to me. I did not say that I am perfect, but I am working toward perfection. For those who would receive it, men like me represent the ANTI-THESIS of the Great Harlot in the book of Revelation. Here, we learn the Word of God describes a woman who is the head over many "husbands" or nations comprising a beast that becomes a rotting carcass for eagles to devour. She has made a complete mockery of the patriarchy. Men like myself are among the worst of her enemies. I know how to address the spirit of feminism and expose it for the filth that it is. I know how it was deeply rooted and entrenched in Roman Catholicism and how it has spread throughout and among the nations to cause the saints of God to fornicate and to fall into her cup of iniquity by and through the forbidding of marriage.
If a man of God does not accept the blessing of an additional spouse from the hand of God upon his calling in the Lord, he is deceived, he is confused, and he is likely not a very loving husband either. Only silly women would think that men should desire them as they desire their husbands. This is confusion! Even a monogamist husband will not desire his wife as she desires him if he has the Holy Spirit. He will have the natural affection of a man �?not a woman. If he is content to be the husband of one wife only, it will be well with him to accept his gift in the Lord without vanity or even the self-righteous arrogance (so characteristic of unruly women who would glory in the flesh) and allowing every man his proper gift even as the Apostle Paul did, without jealousy, or covetousness, as so many harbor today.
A godly woman ought not to confuse her personal, natural, and sexual, affection for that which pertaineth unto a man (that is to project it) and thereby equate it to the natural affection of a man for a woman. In fact, it is blasphemous for a man to become effeminate and submissive to a woman as though she were his master. Neither should he make his wife his "one and only" if this is not what he is called to do! World famous writer, Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) is quoted to have said that the Bible is "proof" that a man should not have more than one wife. When he was asked how he came to this conclusion, he reportedly quoted the scripture, "A man cannot serve two masters." Today this joke is right over most people's heads. That is right �?it isn't funny anymore. Now I recall recounting this joke to a friend and observed that he was momentarily convinced that this scripture actually supported the false doctrine of mandatory monogamy in godly marriage. How far men are led astray to the slaughter! They have been conditioned to believe that the woman is MASTER! In other words, in reality, our men have sadly become the very joke. Jesus does not want women to usurp the authority of men. He is a true Husbandman and a true Patriarch. It is the will of the Father that none should perish! We should not judge our brethren or sisters in godly marriage as Miriam falsely judged Moses, but we should allow every man his proper gift from God.
God has called us to peace.
