Which Presidential Candidate Are You? Rung from Rum and Monkey's very own liberty bell. Ironic, don'tcha think? Take the test and see which Presidential Candidate you most closely resemble. Any society that fails to provide for its poor, its halt, its aged, its ill, its widowed, or its fatherless children is barbaric and ungodly. I suppose that is why I am not a hard-core "Libertarian" - at least not according to those who think that LIBERTY equates to selfish negligence of one's fellow man. My position is exemplified by that red dot in this diamond illustration. Here's what puts me there: Isaiah 3 1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water. 2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, 3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. 4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. 5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable. 6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand: 7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. 8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory. 9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. 10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. 12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. 13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people. 14 The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses. 15 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts. Such scripture twisting! lol WHAT CONFUSION!!! This is about as bad as confusing marriage for homosexuality. The next thing I expect to see will be someone comparing a woman to GOD and saying that she should be a man's one and only because this is GOD's example that a man should follow and so she (the wife) should be regarded the same way! What utter nonsense! "Husbands submit yourselves unto your wives as unto the LORD" ̶ NOT! Methinks this is the sort of thing that comes of worshipping a divided GOD. It isn't easy to hold truth in unrighteousness without eventually receiving the conviction that follows. It is hard to kick against the pricks. I'll just keep calling it what GOD called it. . . Uh-huh... GOD called it two wives. . . Ten times (minimum) in the BIBLE. I don't think GOD suddenly changed His mind about this. Romans 7 1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: WAIT. . . BACK UP. . . What did PAUL just say? She shall be called what??? Not "wife" ? Hmmm.... but GOD CALLED THEM (PLURAL) "TWO WIVES" ! Oh yes, that's right. . . They're both MARRIED to the same man so they're NOT two adulteresses. AMAZING!!! GOD's LAW is so PERFECT so AMAZING! ... but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. I'm so glad that GOD (the CHANGELESS ONE) has never changed His position concerning what is right and what is wrong! If it were a sin for a man to have two wives GOD would have said so. I'm so glad the LAW is still in the HOLY BIBLE. 1 Timothy 1 5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully. I guess there are just some people that can't seem to get around what the LORD GOD expressly called two wives ̶ not two adultresses, not two floozies, not two whores, not two strumpets, not two men stealers, not two strange women, not two reprobates, not two prostitutes, not two fornicators, not two harlots, not two homosexuals, not two sinnerwomen; but GOD called it two wives. Yup. That's what GOD called it and never once, in the same breath, did GOD ever condemn it, or them, for it. Yup. A multitude in the Bride... Yup... Many persons in the body... Only One Person in the head. Yup... The NEW JERUSALEM . . . The NEW WIFE. . . Not the OLD WIFE. PRAISE GOD!
