Let's begin with acknowledging the fact that the letters and epistles in the New Testament are written to the church for the benefit of the congregation of the church. The book of Hebrews is no exception. The IRS fits nowhere into the scripture here but it is possible that the Supreme Court may. Nonetheless it is important to bear in mind that when we read all of Hebrews 13 here, in context, it is clearly evident that the scripture was not at all referring to the political government at that time - so why should it be referring to the political government today?

No, the scripture is NOT saying, "Obey Caesar and his henchmen because they have the rule over you." In fact, we might easily discern that the scripture refers exclusively to God fearing rulers who love JESUS. (Hmmm... I wonder who those would be.) The reason we are to submit to them is clear: they watch for our souls and they are expected to "give account" for our souls. Now this certainly establishes a dividing line between those who care about our souls and the secular leaders in the world who allow the devil to pull the strings. Indeed, everyone will certainly give account in the final judgement. So let's all get ready to lift up the name of JESUS to the accountant.

This direction bears witness to the truth when one considers that those "rulers" mentioned in the above scripture are in fact, the early church leaders (and today's godly leaders) who give account to God for the souls in the church. Don't believe it? Let's back up to verse seven: "Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation." Now I hope that sums it up rather well for the majority of the readers of this page but just in case some aren't that inspired by the truth, I will share a little more reason concerning this matter of taxation and control.

OBEDIENCE and COOPERATION go hand-in-hand. JESUS is the greatest REBEL that ever lived or ever will live. Why? Because there isn't a man or woman who can compare to His ability to disobey satan or refuse to cooperate with the devil. JESUS never disobeyed God's law because He wrote it with His own finger. JESUS paid tribute where tribute was due. He did nothing less. Income tax is an entirely different matter. He didn't pay tribute on the tribute - He paid tribute where tribute was due and never obeyed evil.

This same scripture tells us that marriage licenses are not the government's business:

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

God is supposed to be judging the whoremongers and adulterers. Personally, I think God is doing a fine job of it. Where does the political government fit into this scenario? A: It doesn't.  Marriage is an institution of God and it has been compromised with paper just as the actual economy has been compromised by the paper dollar. Paper marriages tend to lose integrity nearly as fast and most folks know that a ring and a piece of paper do not a marriage make. So who determines what a bona fide marriage is? God does. So isn't this really the jurisdiction of the Church?

Pastors are plugging into Babylon for tax benefits and the right to perform marriage ceremonies because they have forgotten to obey them that have the rule over them. They have chosen to endorse the harlotry of licencing marriages with the approval of the state rather than seeking only the approval of their God by what is written in the Holy Bible, the book that still sits in the Supreme Court Justice, even today. Instead of seeking authority (sanctification) from on High, these so-called pastors are seeking legal sanction from Caesar -- the same way Rome did, prior to the establishment of the Roman Catholic church.

I agree that for as long as the Supreme Court honors the HOLY BIBLE in their court rooms, that they are not without jurisdiction (assuming that the judge is a godly MAN) but; for as long as the tax collector rules the court rooms and the laws, we are in nowise obligated to obey or cooperate with these userers and in fact, we would frustrate the grace of God every time we would pay tribute to the devil who certainly wants more from us than a tithe. Obey them that have the rule over you indeed. Stop obeying evil. Stop paying income taxes to the United States Federal Government. DEMAND... God's own example of the ten percent rule, and pay no more than a tithe in total taxation. Follow the example of Jesus.
