... and what is revealed in the New was covered in the Old. If you cannot produce Old Testament support for your church doctrine after a diligent search of scripture then it likely isn't true doctrine. This is precisely how vital the OLD TESTAMENT of the Holy Bible is to salvation in the name of Jesus. There can be no revelation without the removal of the veil and the veil cannot be removed if it is not even there.
The challenge with all revelation is discerning precisely which veil needs to be removed. Friend, it is that fleshly veil that must be removed to reveal the spiritual truth of a matter -- especially concerning the matter of sanctified and holy marriage. I truly pray that the revelation of Jesus Christ be open to all and without private interpretation.
The New Testament Gospel of Jesus Christ is today's new covenant of salvation. Most of the Old Testament covers the Law and the Prophets. The dispensation of grace must progress onward to fulfillment of Bible prophecy and even while the church of harlotry continues to ride the beast, so grace is continually given to all Mankind.
Jesus Christ, born of a woman that he should be called the son of man, born under the law, fulfilled the law to the brim -- and then some. This is why Christ Jesus was born in the fullness of time and this is the cup that was his to drink... and to fulfill. What further need have we for the law?
Without the law there can be no acknowledgement of sin. There is no requirement for repentance and there is no atonement. I thank God for the law for without the law how could I approach the throne of Grace in the knowledge of my Lord and Saviour? Without the schoolmaster I would have been thoroughly ignorant.
The true believer, in the body of Christ, does not live above the law. Neither does the true believer live under the law. For the law is written in his or her heart and HE (even that hope of glory) establishes the law in the hearts of all those who are His. So then, it is the true believer that establishes the law because it is the law that is established in the heart of the true believer...
UNDER GRACE...
UNDER THE LAW OF LOVE...
UNDER THE BLOOD OF THE NEW COVENANT.
Are there Old Testament Examples of Biblical Polygamy? Certainly. There are several. This is where the law is given. As any diligent student of scripture will soon learn, the Old Testament law would either have had to condemn this common Hebrew practice, or, the law would have to embrace it. Now Biblical law (whether old or new) is not fickle. Jesus either accepted this common biblical custom of marriage or He rejected it. Our LORD would not neglect so great a matter. I can prove to you by the scripture that Jesus did indeed accept it and that He blessed it.
I confidently challenge any sincere student of the Holy Bible to show me in scripture where God rejected ALL marriages that involve a man having more than one wife while he was yet married to another. I will give you several BIBLE examples of God permitting such a thing in His word. I would caution the reader to bear in mind that what the world calls "polygamy" is not precisely what the scripture permits and that what is "good for the gander" is not always good for the goose. Admittedly, this view is not exactly "popular" since the matriarchal feminists desire that men and woman be identical in virtually every respect. In their model of of so-called "sexual equality" gender distinction and exclusive priveleges for either sex is forbidden.
