Examples:
Let's say that I live in one of the red states that prohibit cousin marriage. I marry my first cousin in the church. I have broken the law of man and not broken the law of God. If I have witnesses in the church and the church confirms my marriage and the father of the bride approves of my marriage and the blood is applied through faith, my marriage is legitimate in the Lord but not in the eyes of man.
To equate morality with marriage licenses is to equate a covenant of the devil with a covenant of God. Many homosexuals can obtain a marriage license but that marriage will not ever have the blood applied over that bed. It will never be sanctified, whereas the red state cousin marriage can be sanctified because the law of God endorses it and the law of man does not.
If I have an affair with my daughter and then she gets married and I repent, the Lord has forgiven me for that fling. The state does not. I will remain a sex offender with the state forever but not in the eyes of God after putting my daughter away.
The homosexuals will always have a state license in Massachusetts and that marriage will be endorsed by the state as legitimate but God's sex offender list for unrepentant homosexuals goes on forever as a state of perpetual fornication.
Man does not forgive some sins and registers them as evil. Man endorses some sins and even creates hate laws and licenses to protect that specific sin. Man is rooted in situational ethics and political confusion but God is not the author of confusion.
Anyone judging a sex offender for past sin as a perpetual sinner after the sin has ceased and repentance is made and the blood is applied takes on the sin of the forgiven(who messed up in the past).
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law; but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law but a judge.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who art thou that judgest another? James 4:11-12
So the Massachussets' Christians point the finger to the cousin marriages in the red states that don't have a license in the world and accuse them of being redneck sinners. At the same time, the biblical sex offenders, the homosexuals, are given licenses by the same state and are considered legitimately married couples. Isn't that a double standard since God endorsed cousin marriages in the bible and yet called homosexual marriages an abomination?
First cousin marriages or first cousin sex could cause one to be on the sex offender list, even in some red states but they would never be sex offenders if they were married in an another state (that permitted such), according to the law of that state.
Now if I have an affair with my daughter and don't repent, then I am a sex offender on God's list and man's list. If I repent, God removes my name from His list and I do not remain a perpetual sex offender. When the blood is applied, after repentance, then there is no more sin in God's mind or memory.
The false church may remember our sin and the world may not forgive, but the world is already under judgment and all marriages with licenses have beds that are defiled because of no application of the blood. It is the blood that atones for sin and keeps the death angel away from that marriage bed and not the marriage license in the drawer.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4
Those that are friends with the system of the world are at odds with God's law and the truth is not in them. Those that look to the world for morality are called adulterers and adulteresses because their love is at odds with the Love of the Father.
Hating our brother and sister in the world by priority of position and putting God's law first is a command from God.
Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Putting too much emphasis on worldy concepts of marriage and family is idolatry if those concepts conflict with God's laws.
It is always easy to say that remarriage is sin but for a man there is no scriptural evidence that is the case. Even a woman can marry again, if a husband looses her of her vows.
Numbers 30:13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
Deuteronomy 24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
Some strange doctrines use scripture to prove Jesus is black and that the white man is the blue-eyed devil and the white man is responsible for sin and oppression. Some strange doctrines use scripture to prove that remarriage is sin. Both use part of the scripture for their fallacies but it is all false doctrine.
Covering sin in a person's past proves that person is not saved. Exposing sin and confessing sin is the sign of a Christian. The church is for sinners and not the Pharisee, even though most of the Pharisees in the church are really not Christians but actually tares.
Us, sinners, must sit beside those tares at church until the Lord divides them and cast them into the other bin to be burned. That is not the job of the church members. Us, sinners, must love those tares as Christ did. The devil uses them to condemn us, sinners, who were saved through the blood. They tempt us by their accusations to tempt God by hating the Pharisee. We must love the Pharisee and hate the evil spirit.
If they judge us, sinners, saved by grace, they mete themselves the same judgment. They are the god-players and us, sinners, who have repented of sexual sins of the past, are free from sin and the condemnation of man.
The Pharisees fall for the old trick of satan. They judge others and think they are the Son of God and us, sinners, know they are not and serve God. One is broken and one is mustard seed that is still hard and brings forth no fruit in the Spirit but instead, reproduces children of hell like themselves.
