The problem with little pink lies is that they grow into big pink lies. People who pretend that they have fully embraced the ONENESS of God in spirit and in truth are practically always found out to be imposters by those who have actually received it in spirit and in truth. Just calling one's self or affiliation "ONENESS" doesn't necessarily make it so, but for most people it can mean alot of different things. It certainly means something different to the Muslim and it means something different to the rest of those professing MONOTHEISM as well. Those who would attempt to attain to true, apostolic oneness doctrine as it is set forth in the domains of mainstream christendom without abiding in the truth are more prone to strong delusions, strange doctrines, and all manner of apostasy. What all too frequently occurs among these particular groups is that certain among them try to rationalize God in their minds with a wrong and unrepentant spirit and hence wrestle the scriptures to their own destruction. They are trying to get into the Kingdom by some "other way" in a futile effort to justify themselves. The result is always 100% failure and it makes authentic ONENESS doctrine look like a lie in the eyes of non-believers.
The counterfeit ONENESS is often readily identified by doctrines which have no actual substance in scripture and cannot be supported sola scriptura. These pretenders try to remedy this by appealing to other sources of information that are less scriptural but in truth, all they are really doing is building a house of cards. I have more respect for individuals who resort to scriptural examples to support their NON-ONENESS doctrine than I do for those who reach out to the world for their source of "pink proofing" and I will readily admit that I have had many more meaningful dialogs with trinitarians than I have with the sorts of people who pretend to ONENESS but set aside, disallow, censor, forbid, and/or reject the scripture every time they discover that it does not suit their personal and private interpretations of the truth. Even those who would tend to reach a little bit higher in the flesh and claim to embrace the King James Bible (but not the original), or exclude the wordly sources, will also exclude the fullness of the scripture they claim to embrace. What they have is partial truth. I would suppose that some truth is better than no truth at all, but my point is that they still have to don the pink tutu because they do not qualify for the wedding garment. No matter how pretty-in-pink they may look, they are still only pretenders.
The Church is the Son affiliations are among this number of pretenders donning the pink tutu of puritanism. Having made great efforts to come into the Kingdom by some other way, they try to reason in their fleshly hearts and minds that the only way the BRIDE can be ONE with God is if she too, becomes a member of the GOD HEAD. However this presents a problem for those pretenders who would insist that GOD can only be ONE PERSON in the GOD HEAD when they are greatly in need of wisdom and understanding. Aside from the obvious fact that the BRIDE of CHRIST in the book of Revelation is clearly represented by a singularity comprising a plurality (a number too great for any man to count) of PERSONS (plural), it would seem that the LAMB'S WIFE is also thought to be a person (singular). So many stoop to eliminating this problem by making Jesus, Himself, the Bride to remove this nasty little problem of generating a two-headed God. So fearful are the advocates of such warped and twisted doctrine that they have made the gospel profitless as the only thing that Jesus came to save in this horrendous model of theirs is... well, HIMSELF. Seeing that the Church is the Bride and that it is comprised of what the Revelation of John calls a "multitude" they reject the truth and don the tutu because their brand of ONENESS is one of fear and control, disallowing for any autonomy among the saved and nearly born in Jesus. The whole thing is erroneous right from the very start.
If the Son set you free you shall be free indeed. Liberty in Jesus is far more greater than the liberty of the world. God wants you to have autonomy so that you might bear a true witness and record. Christ Jesus plainly stated that if he bear witness of himself his witness would not be true. Many alleged "Oneness" groups are still struggling to justify themselves in the eyes of God and men by placing far too much emphasis on the arm of flesh. Yes, there is a requirement for works but works alone cannot save any one any more than strict adherance to the law can justify one for salvation. Faith justified Abraham. Jesus is that Faithful One. I have witnessed this struggle among the pretenders for decades. Many would even think that they have found the strait and narrow way by adopting a strictly narrow-minded approach to salvation by the works of the flesh. This is puritanism. It is the same sanctimonious, self-righteous, and judge-mental personal back-patting that all of the saints warned us about. We are saved by grace though faith, and not of works, lest any man should boast. The Holy Spirit does the good works and our Lord puts no burden upon us that we are not able to bear. Be faithful and let Jesus produce the works. If your heart is right with Him the works will follow of their own accord. If you remain faithful the true revelation of Oneness will be yours. See that no man robs you of your crown and stay away from strange Bishops and self-righteous Puritans donning pink tutus. The Church is not the Son, Jesus is not the Bride, and the Truth will set you free.
