Hello Scannerman If he called them wives, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken, 2Sa 17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father. Mat 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. Jdg 7:17 And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do. If the scripture cannot be broken then we should all go hang ourselves or we are disobedient to the word. This is the way I see you using the scriptures, twisting, taking out of context to uphold what you want to believe. First of all let me say, you have the right to live any way you choose, I am not your judge, but I do take offence that you have taken the word of God and twisted it so you can justify yourself. Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. You quoted this verse to further your cause. My question is why didn't God create Adam, Eve, and Tiffany? If so, then pray for discernment because God cannot lie; for it is verily written in the volume of the book : Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. - Deuteronomy 4:2 You tried to use this scripture to show just because men in the old testament took more than one wife then it is some how a comandment from God, your reasoning is verily flawed! Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? G1417 δύο duo doo'-o A primary numeral; "two": - both, twain, two. Rev 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Notice it doesn't say the brides, the lamb's wives, Why? Rom 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. One body, one wife! And He is not out looking for another! Now on a personal note. Did you marry both of these women and if so do you hold a marriage license for both women? If you do not then you are not married to both, but if you do then you have broken the law of the land which is being disobedient to God. Tit 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, Like I said before, live the way that you want to, God gave all of us free will to do as we choose, but don't blame God for what you do. Some extras just for you: 1Co 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 1Co 7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 1Co 7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. 1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 1Ti 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. Tit 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 1Pe 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. | Reply
| | Hello Scannerman Hello mtsion, and greetings to you, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Only Wise God. If he called them wives, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken, say ye also of him whom the Father hath sanctified, "thou commit adultery", because God said that the twain shall be one flesh? Yes. Exactly. I fully believe the words of Jesus who also said: If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? 2Sa 17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father. Then I suppose we will simply have to agree to disagree since it appears to me that you need new glasses. Either one of us, or BOTH of us, has bad eyesight and since both of us believes that each the other sees clearly on this issue there is really no further point in debating the matter. You will certainly not convince me by what I perceive to be your own twisted logic to compare apples with oranges. Nonetheless anyone resorting to your erroneous logic might just as easily conclude that GOD should also hang himself, at least in principle. You will not convince me that I am mistaken simply because you take offence, but woe unto the many by whom the offence cometh. I hardly believe I will convince you of the truth but I shall take no such offence, seeing it is your own ignorance of what GOD, Himself, has called "two wives" and not so much an historical account of events that occurred based merely on the choices of men. One might consider the fact that He, Himself, has stated by the express image of His Person that the scripture cannot be broken. Now this is certainly an entirely different bowl of fruit. For we read no instruction from JESUS telling us to hang ourselves, but I do read instruction from our LORD for godly men to conduct themselves accordingly when they have "two wives", even as GOD called them. Sir, this is the truth that sticks in your craw: God has called them "wives", plural, twelve times, in the scripture and scripture cannot be broken. However you might selectively attempt to subject it to your own logic and biased simplicity in you desire to reduce it to a different basket of fruit will not fool me in the slightest. You compare apples and oranges and if you cannot see that that is what you are doing then I waste my time communicating with you any further. GOD called them TWO WIVES. Deal with this fact first, and then we will talk JT | | Reply

| | Hi JT.. Well.. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your wife. I've already shared my thoughts on this, but while I don't believe it's right, or was ever right, although things like that have happened and will happen, all manner of sin will be forgiven ... and I believe it would be a greater insult to God to cease to take care of both these women. That's the theological part of this discussion. </end> Thanks for sending the pictures! They are both very pretty. Congratulations on the wonderful children. I pray that God bless and keep you. I can't imagine agreeing to marry the same guy as another woman. My heart would burn within me to think of that, of him actually in bed with another.. I couldn't do it. More power to them I guess. It's funny me and my sister were talking about Rachel and Leah this morning and how Jacob was probably like I *wish* I always had wife. Remember that one time they were basically fighting over who got to sleep with him? I can picture the poor guy like agh!! I guess personally, this is just me talking, I think of the love relationship, of the one husband, one wife thing as being more of a perk than a downer. It is a precious thing.. to *choose* to have someone like that and to have them choose you. Sigh.. That's what I tell Him all the time anyway. When we talk about this, as we do often. And then I'm always so busy maybe that's part of it cuz I'm like ... sheesh having one person around like that, that totally, is enough trouble. =D Hehe.. More power to you also, man. It must make for a much more involved household arrangement. At least you don't have 11 kids!! One of which is hated by the others cuz you love him more and gets sold into slavery and oh boy ... talk about difficult family situations. o_O Darn human beings. =D Have an awesome day, Anne | | |
