My old pastor spoke of a song that went along these lines....
I got a new chance, I got a new life.
A member of the congregation who was not in the church thought the song said, " I got a new chance, I got a new wife and he joined the church but was disappointed when he found out the truth that he would not be getting another wife.
The pastor told him that he should not worry because in effect and in a sense when his present wife gets her glorified body, he will have a new wife.
I think that laughing in the Spirit can be humbling to the flesh for the serious and proud in heart. It is good for them to laugh. Crocodile tears are not always repentance. This pastor on your link lost his daughter early in his life and that was his way of getting even with the devil.
Maybe we should be laughing at those in the peanut gallery who are trying to help Buffalo Bob in their ignorance of scripture.
A fool believes what he is saying a lot of times. The pettiness of people and their opinions, along with their ability to infect us with resentment, is rooted in pride. To laugh at the calamities of the wicked with a right spirit is not something that the flesh can easily do.
Generally the flesh wants to win and to stay alive, rather than to die.
