So if the law against ephebophilia is in opposition to what is natural, the law of the land is the rule?
What is normal under mob rule or democracy is not always what is natural or workable as our government is slowly finding out. It seems that situational ethics is not working so well in Iraq. More violence takes place when man forces his rules by majority vote into cultures and religious systems that at least have a form of somewhat consistent ideology.
Since polygyny and ephebophilia are recent deviancies through cultural perception we should realize that something is not working. I do not see progress in Iraq where ephebophilia is practiced all the time. Why don't Iraqis want to give up both these alleged deviancies - polygyny and ephebophilia? They far outnumber the Western world because of polygyny and now are in the process of taking over the political system. I feel sorry for those monogamists that don't live up to the standards in the new ruling class. I guess their children will have to be removed and placed in "suitable" religious tenets.
Those compromising religious faiths that used to embrace polygyny and those relinquishing those beliefs because of man's laws will again repent for their actions when the Muslims take over.
Pure democracy is mob rule without the restraints by law of a republic and rights(Bill of Rights) and personal religious conviction. The majority rules tyrannically over the minority. The minority has no rights.
Under a kingdom the king rules and the people do not own anything including their children. A true republic on the other hand allows for our states to make their own decisions based on their laws rather than the tenets of the ruling class or majority. We left mother England because she did not want us owning anything including our children or wives.
If we were still under the Constitution in these United States, one state could legitimize polygyny but the government does not want that because the population would grow rapidly and impose their values over the monogamous values. Therefore the rich must rule and destroy our rights so only a privileged few can have power. This appears as majority rule but in reality it is the failure of socialism as well as secular humanism.
On the Wikipedia site you will find one perception of the concept of ephebophilia as perfectly natural. Sometimes what is natural is not what is normal in a specific political climate and perception.
