The term "liberal" is only another word that was horrendously distorted by the left wing politicians of our history books. Many people still erroneously associate this word with freedom when it no longer carries a promise in the mouths of the liars - I mean, the leaders. Politicians have lied on both sides of the table. To be frank, I have witnessed enough corruption between the alledged "left" and "right" to easily conclude that if the churches that claim the name of Christ were to discipline themselves with equal colusion, as do the Conservative and Liberal parties, they might even achieve a measure of desirable change - regardless of political policies. 

The nations of both the United States of America and Canada need to stop looking to the left and the right and start looking up - especially if they believe in any hope of salvation. Without the standards (land marks) that God has set forth in scripture for all Man kind to live by, the land will only continue to invite a curse upon it. Of course many of the alleged "Liberal" thinkers would accuse me of making a legalist statement for having said as much. These so-called "Liberals" confuse liberty with licence. Too much of the Neo-Con government believes the same. After all, curses are merely superstition - until society manufactures them. Abortion is not a myth and neither is murder. Broken marriages and ruined homes are no superstition. Divorce is only too real. All of these sinful conditions (and many others) bring a spiritual dynamic upon a nation like a whirlwind sweeping through a field and devastating it. To call this a curse is accurate.

The family unit is the primary building block of any society in any nation. It isn't optional. I don't believe the Liberal backed (pro gay, pro abortion) leaders of our nations are oblivious to this fact. I don't think the conservative (pro overseas war,  pro compromise, pro corporate welfare) Republicans are either. Just how these principles are negotiated at the table between the poles of compromise is something every voter should be aware of. Politicians can be very cunning in the political art of compromise. They'll trade whatever is on the bargaining table if they think that the delegation will suit their interests. Republicans love big government as much as Liberals do. The Liberals just happen to be more honest about it.

A society without social safety nets is a society without a conscience. The left plays this ethic like a fiddle while the elitist right continues to insist that corporate welfare and military spending are the only social safety nets worth having. How is it that so many right winged politicians seem to pretend that those who are unable to swim should only drown in a sea of debt generated by both sides? How can so many U.S. citizens ignore that the right wing government has spent more tax payers dollars than the left wing government before them? Is it time for the tables to turn again for the people to blame the debt on the Liberals once more? WAKE UP AMERICA. The good cop / bad cop routine is an old political trick! Ya'll are bein' suckered.

There is a scripture that I have come to love about a young ruler who loved the Lord.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. -Dueteronomy 28:14

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. - Joshua 1:7

If I were a citizen of the U.S.A. I would vote neither Democrat nor Republican. I would be looking for some fresh blood that upheld biblical ethics and truly gave God the glory. I would be more concerned about what being a godly American meant to me than swinging to the left or to the right. The time has come to look up to the Most High and seek the will of God. Our politicians are only men.
