Emotionalism is a vice. There is no doubt about it. Most laws and politics are implemented through emotionalism, sleight of hand and manipulation of the mind.
It is like the magician who distracts your mind's eye with a wand or another object so you don't see what is really going on in the distraction.
On another group, they were discussing castration for pedophiles and implementing laws for thoughts because pedophilia in and of itself does not require sexual abuse of a child. Pedophilia is a psychological term and not a legal term.
This is the way I answered the matter at hand........................................
An issue that hasn't been addressed fully is the fact that pedophilia does not require any type of sexual relation. It is a psychological term and not a legal term.
One only needs to think or be attracted to children in a compulsive way to be psychologically a pedophile.
This sounds like another one of those liberal threads that generalize everything. The Liberal Thought Police are now saving our children through the government and law using homosexuals in Congress who are perverts themselves to go after other perverts. Maybe if male children had actual role models of mature strong males in their family, instead of most being bastards from birth, some of these diseases of the mind might not even be in need of addressing.
One cannot put a bandaid over Pandora's box. I say we castrate the liberal lawmakers of no fault divorce that is the causal factor in the transfer of the rearing of children from the father to the government. We can start with Walsh and proceed with the social workers.
This way with John Walsh castrated we can protect our children against government nosing around in family and keep our 2nd amendment rights also. Liberals are fresh meat in prison. The pedophiles want to make wives out of these new liberal cell buddies.
The only thing below a pedophile in prison is a liberal cop gone wrong or trapped in his own quagmire of deceit. For the liberal child protector and latent homosexual, maybe we should make a law that only homosexual pedophiles not be castrated because that would be a hate crime and heterosexual pedophiles would be a love crime when implemented
Liberals want to be the thought police. If someone wanted to implement a law against thinking about homosexuality, the left-wing would stand up and scream that their vices are natural and have been given to them by nature.
Double standards are always the manifestation of implementing crimes against thoughts(hate crime laws) and vices.
John Karr has never been convicted for anything as far as acting out on a child sexually. He is obsessed with thinking about JonBenet Ramsey and her death but he himself has never been convicted of a crime on a child and yet they call him a pedophile, and possibly rightly so.
He does have a vice but at this point, not a criminal. They lost his computer with the alleged images on it. Now he is a free man. He should write a book.
The thought police thought they had a scapegoat and Mr. Ramsey thought he was off the hook. Ramsey's had a vice of parading their daughter around like a twenty year old prostitute in image. They had a vice.
John Karr was a recipient of their vice. If he is a pedophile for thinking his thoughts alone, then the Ramsey's are the dealer of the thoughts and he is the user. Which vice is worse? The one causing the images or the one receiving them. The drug user or the drug dealer.
If vices could be legislated and John Karr was put in jail for his obsession, then liberal Mr. Ramsey should share a cell with him. All must be equal when legislating vices.
Of course any logical person knows that laws against vices are ridiculous and empower only those in politics with more severe vices
