Friend, I have seen this word, "threskeia" before and wondered upon it also. It's just another one of those loose ends for me... One of those little grains of sand that get into my shoe from time to time. I brought it up here in the group once and never once received a response. You were the first.
How interesting that while I play The Fatherless and the Widowed, a song, which my one year old daughter handed to me on cd ten minutes ago, that I should happen upon this post of yours... I will be honest...When I first read this scripture I thought it meant to console those families who were grieving for the loss of a father who passed on; but there must be something more to it than this eventhough I readily admit that afflictions can be very grievous indeed. I mean, this is supposed to be PURE RELIGION and it is the only place in the HOLY BIBLE where I read this term: PURE RELIGION.
Surely PURE RELIGION is important. I've been waiting for a response on this link for over a year.
