IN CASE SOMEONE MISSED IT What sanctifies the children born in (or out of wedlock) is not a wedding ceremony, or civil writ of contract, or the blessings of any mortal; nor is it any particular mode of water baptism which is in truth a representational act of faith typifying a spiritual burial and resurrection in Christ Jesus, limited only to the believer who is baptised into JESUS. Otherwise, for as great an act as it may be, water baptism amounts to little more than getting a good soaking. (Which is a good start, but as it is written, have ye received the HOLY GHOST since ye believed?) What sanctifies a marriage AND the progeny of that marriage is none other than the HOLY GHOST! The physical act of full immersion in water (much less sprinkling) cannot cleanse any from sin but rather it is the FIRE is that purifies, refines, perfects, and purges. The WORD of the LORD says: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: (Romans 12:1-4) AND AGAIN, IN ANOTHER PLACE: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (1 Peter 3) HOW WERE THESE SAVED BY WATER? A: Through the suffering of Christ! Whereas 8 souls were saved by water through the suffering of Christ, the rest of the population drowned by water! Water, in and of itself, saved NO ONE. Now note in the following verse (1 Peter 3:21): The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Do you see? Water Baptism is FIGURATIVE. It is a symbolic act of a good conscience toward GOD; but there is another act which must proceed Water Baptism that is NOT by any means figurative. It is called REPENTENCE. One might well WONDER how one will know when one has finally arrived in the KINGDOM of GOD. HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN THE LIVING SACRIFICE IS ACCEPTED AT THE ALTER? A: WHEN THE FIRE COMES DOWN AND CONSUMES IT!!! PRAISE GOD! BEWARE OF STRANGE FIRE. KNOW THE LORD. JESUS IS ONE IN EVERY WAY AND THERE IS NO WAY WHEREIN HE IS NOT ONE. Friend, the enemy cannot copy this HOLY GHOST, TONGUE-TALKING, SPIRIT FILLING, JESUS ONLY experience. It is impossible! If you witness THREE PEOPLE claiming to be GOD at the ALTER then you are being deceived! I cannot stress this enough. When JESUS came to me I surely knew there was ONLY ONE and ONE ONLY WHO had this INCREDIBLE POWER AND AUTHORITY to cause what happened in me to occur! THERE WAS NO QUESTION IN MY MIND Who HE WAS and there won't be any question in yours either when JESUS COMES TO CALL! When JESUS comes a calling you'll know it's Him! Of this much you can be sure. How can you refute Him as you kneel and fall before Him??? It is IMPOSSIBLE to refute Him when the LORD comes to call and makes HIS HOLY PRESENCE known to you! If you have not experienced His Presence then you are none of HIS. When the HOLY GHOST first visited Saul (who later became Paul) it was Paul who said, WHO ART THOU, LORD? You see, Paul already KNEW He was LORD!!! All Paul needed was the NAME.. the SHEM... After this, all things needful were fulfilled in HIM. GOD have mercy . . . Let these eyes be opened to the truth that CHRIST JESUS is in every wit, the NAME. HE, Himself, is the SHEM. The letter killeth but the SPIRIT giveth life. Pray for the BAPTISM of FIRE which truly cleanses and purges the body of iniquity and refines our faith in the ONLY WISE GOD. The WORD says, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost! No amount of water baptism will ever save anyone. It is the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT that saves. We can't produce it, we can't fabricate it, we can't manufacture it, we can do NOTHING of ourselves to save ourselves except we repent and receive the HOLY GHOST! I pray the reader bear with me in my zeal but I am only a man and it is enough. Yea, we are yet witnessing the exploits of Neo-Pharisees who think that we are justified by water baptism and the works of the flesh, even as the Pharisees of old who would have us to believe that some ceremony in the flesh will cleanse and sanctify our children!!! It is a lie. ONLY JESUS SAVES. Let the reader learn. Turn to 1 Corinthians 7 and read with me here: 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, [that's right, the BLOOD BOUGHT, BORN AGAIN, HOLY GHOST FILLED, and CONVERTED wife] and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: [that's right, the BLOOD BOUGHT, BORN AGAIN, HOLY GHOST FILLED, and CONVERTED husband] else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. Why? Because mom and/or dad took a dive in the baptismal pool and remembered to scrub behind their ears??? So now the children clean? Not likely. The sanctification comes from JESUS alone. It is the HOLY SPIRIT that sanctifies and for those who will receive it, this is that FIRE that comes down from on high. It is GOD's answer to a good conscience toward Him. May GOD bless the reader |
