There's those three words again, concerning the number of wives a man may have, that we never see in the Holy Bible . . . "only one wife"... is found NOWHERE in the HOLY BIBLE Isn't it ironic that the only BIBLE of world MAINSTREAM RELIGION that actually contains the phraze, "only one wife" is the Qu'ran??? I think that is amazing. Let's have a peak at how things are gearing up on the Strait and Narrow Way... From: †Believer? Sent: 04/02/2007 10:19 PM For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. II Cor. 2:11 "To add to this information, "you" is the second person plural pronoun in the King's English. The verse would use "thee" if the King James translators had wanted the second person singular pronoun." - Bible Scholar So why didn't the King James translators continue to use proper english and say "that I may present you as 'chaste virgins' to Christ." if "you" was suppose to be the plural?
************************************************* From: LeahsGrace Sent: 05/02/2007 4:05 AM Doesn't the KJV describe the bride as one? and yet there are many virgins in the one bride? Both many brides and one virgin are emphasized. There is singularity and plurality in the bride(s). It is "you" that determines of plurality. The word "you" is plural no matter if virgin is singular. "You" is plural in King's English. The King James translators would have used "thee" if the espoused were singular. The King James was translated properly. There are many other instances of the bride as being composed of many. Jehovah refer to His wives as "them" and also He beckons one wife to come back. Having many brides, they all have personal relationships with God, each individual is important in the church and each is individually responsible to keep oil in their lamps. Amen Leahs Grace! Personally I would have stated that I would answer the question concerning the translation into the plural "virgins" when they could tell me why all these translators were trinitarians. The fact is, that although those translators were indeed fallible and could have possibly better translated some of the words to more accurately reflect the Greek, (which we know they have forbidden) the fullness of the truth had to be contained in the gospel. God preserved it in the work of the translators to satisfy the fullness of the interpretation circumspectly. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. Sounds to me like God will not share His glory with another Husbandman. If the bride were comprised of ONLY ONE WIFE then the only way that the equation could be satisfied is if ONLY ONE SOUL ever got saved. Wasn't Paul addressing a MULTITUDE in this verse? We appear to be approaching a model where the MALE is singular and the FEMALE is plural, are we not? |

"YOU" is BOTH singular and plural, according to the King's English. It is one of those words which can be used as singular or plural. |

, let's just see if God upholds this this of having 'wives'. Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. | The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts. | And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand. | Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. | And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. | For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. | Notice, God is against them because of whom they married. He said he will cut them off who offend in this. Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. | Notice God said they had dealt treacherously against the WIFE, (Not wives) of thy youth. Yet SHE, (not they) is the WIFE (not wives) of thy covenant. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. | Did He not make ONE? He, who? God. One what? WIFE. Yes, there is your true answer. Others fight with you in their own words. I come to you in the Name of the true God, and his true Word. He made Adam only ONE wife. He dealt treacherously when he took that second one. it was not of God. God said he will cut off those who do this. He will not see their tears or hear their cries. this is a very serious thing to God. He said, why did He make ONE? That he might seek a GODLY Seed. that Godly seed could only come with this original pattern of marriage = one man and one woman. That is how God made it and how he intended it to stay. But men sought out their own inventions of marriage and everything else. They rebelled against God's way and chose their own way. Their way leads to DEATH. You may enjoy this mess of more than ONE, now, but in the end, you will regret it as you fall off into hell. Now for the rest of verse 15: Take HEED to your spirit, that you deal not treacherously against the WIFE (singular) of thy YOUTH. In other words, the first one. When you take that second one, you deal treacherously against the one true wife, the first one. Oh so foolish is the woman who allows herself to be deceived into such a hurtful and damning situation! She is not loved! Neither one of them is loved. You only love your own lustful self. Now you made so much over saying the virgins were one virgin, take that same reasoning to verse 15. the WIFE, not wives, OF THY YOUTH. This is the last Book of the OT. Here God is setting the record STRAIGHT, on all that they have vexed his Holy Spirit with, all through the OT. You cannot find multiply wives upheld in the New Testament. You belong back there under law, which is only under the blood of animals, by which is not salvation or forgiveness of sins. Yes, others tried to set you right, but they did not know enough of the Word of God to prove what they knew in their spirit. I DO. Judah married the daughter of a strange god, when he took that second wife, for this is not of the true God. God said this is an abomination. verse 11. He said this profains the holiness of God. For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. | God hates putting away. for ONE (ONE WHAT? ONE WIFE) covereth violence with his garment. THEREFORE take HEED to your spirit, (about what?) that ye deal NOT TREACHEROUSLY. This dealing treacherously was in taking that second wife. God made them to have only one. He did not make Adam two wives. Nothing you can say will ever make it right. Now did Jesus uphold this? Let him tell us: The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? | And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, | And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? | Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. | They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? | He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. | Will you contend with Jesus? I guess so. But for others who might find this, here is what Jesus taught on this subject...same thing as in Malichi: And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, | And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? | God made them at the beginning MALE (singular) and FEMALE, (also singular). For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and cleave to his WIFE, (singular; not wives, Plural); and they TWAIN, (means TWO, NOT THREE OR FOUR),... shall be ONE FLESH. same as with Jesus and God, see? two different ones, united. He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. | Here Jesus took it back to the beginning, when God made one wife for Adam. He said from the beginning IT WAS NOT SO. Malichi took it back to the beginning, with Adam and Eve. God made Adam only ONE WIFE, TO SEEK A GODLY SEED. Here Jesus verifies that this is the truth and the only acceptable way with god. All the others, who had more than one, were walking in man's own ways. He chose death rather than life. |

Do you have an answer to this Scripture TRUTH. The original plan of God for marriage is here, not over in the law. This original plan is all that upheld in the NT. So where do you stand? |

well, hello again. Proved you CANNOT take any truth! I knew you could not take the pure word much longer. Post it to the world. No one here is seeking any truth, for when it is put in your faces, you reject it and run and can do nothing but spew out evil, ugly name calling. But see, you could not keep me out if you wished to do so. but do not fear, I will not stay. Had not intended to come back before, but you had to goad me into it. I have no desire to deal with such evil speaking dogs. Knew you could not discuss Scripture. You have none to deal with. that is really what you hate, not me. You hate it that I have pure Scripture to teach, and you have none. So now. Slander me on and on. but you proved you cannot take any truth. You are sons of Satan. Satan is a MALE you know. he is not a female. Jesus is the seed of the WOMAN, EVE, you know. So hate her on, too. Jesus put down the men from their SEATS, (means place of rulership, you know,) and EXHALTED them of low degree, (means the trodden down WOMEN, you know). So go fight with HIM. He did it. He sent a flood because of men taking more than one wife, you know. No Sons of God existed since then, until Jesus came, preaching that it must go back to the beginning, of the WIFE being the one and only one. Wife of youth = wife of the Covenant. Mal. What Covenant? Grace. The one you father, old Satan Adam threw away. So no one is in Grace who has two. And don't forget, Jesus called it FIVE HUSBANDS. sO YOU Ladies, go get yourselves five husbands. After all, Jesus did not rebuke her for having FIVE HUSBANDS. Watch out. Here comes the foaming-at-the-mouth, mad dogs! By, by. enjoy yourselves. Hell awaits you at the end of the way. You have rejected the Grace Covenant, for the dead old law covenant. and you wish to teach others to do the same. bad, bad, bad you. FREEBORN Don't forget, Jesus said she had FIVE HUSBANDS. So ladies, go get yourselves five husbands. Jesus did not rebuke her for her five husbands. that is KJV you know. and even greater, it comes under the New Testament. p.s. Notice how they shoved all my Scripture-full messages aside and forget them, to carry on with their foolish, man-made junk. |
